Team Healer (チーム回復だま, Team Recovery Ball) is an item introduced to the Super Smash Bros. series in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. 4.

Overview
The Team Healer will only appear in Team Battles, provided the Item Switch settings allow for it. A player that grabs the sphere can heal a teammate by throwing the item at their character (as such, the player cannot use the item on themselves). However, if it hits an opponent instead, it will either deal 8%SSBB/9%SSB4 damage with medium knockback or have a 25% chance to heal them by 11%SSBB/7%SSB4. Oddly, the same also applies if it hits a teammate while Team Attack is on. The amount allies are healed is 0.3× their current damage. In Brawl, allies are healed an extra amount based on how fast the Team Healer is moving following the formula <code>7.6 + 3s</code> where s is the speed of the Team Healer; a point-blank smash up-thrown (speed of 4.1) Team Healer will heal and extra 19.9%, point-blank smash forward-throw (3.64) is 18.52%, and a Team Healer that is falling at its maximum fall speed (1.5) is 12.1%. Unlike other healing items in Brawl, if eaten it will have no effect, though in SSB4 it will heal 1% as other non-healing items do. The Ice Climbers are capable of using the item on each other as teammates.

In Stamina matches, the amount healed is a little more than the equivalent percentage due to rounding in a different direction.
Team Healer (, Chīmu Kaifukudama, Team Recoverable in Japanese) is an item introduced to the Super Smash Bros. series in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Its main use is in Team Battles, where a player can heal a teammate by throwing the item at his/her character (as such, it can't possibly be used on oneself). If it is Eaten it will have no effect, regardless of who threw it. However, if it hits an opponent, it will either deal damage or heal them; damage is more likely to occur. The amount healed is based on the amount of damage the ally currently has, with higher amounts recovering relatively more than lower amounts (percentage indicates what percent of the damage was healed, not the damage percentage):
*023->000 (100.0%)
*024->001 (95.8%)
*030->005 (83.3%)
*050->016 (68.0%)
*100->051 (49.0%)
*200->121 (39.5%)
*300->191 (36.3%)
*999->680 (31.9%)
*It heals opponents by about 11%, regardless of damage.
*It deals 8% damage to opponents.
**In HP matches, the amount healed is a little more than the equivalent percentage. (ex.: if 100 HP are lost, the player the Team Healer is thrown at will recover a little more than at 100% damage)

A healing item. Hit a teammate with this item in Team Battle to reduce your ally's accumulated damage. You can throw it at an enemy, but the damage inflicted will be minimal, so you're better off using it to help your friends. This item will not react if attacked. |desc-pal=This item only appears in Team Battles. Throw it to a teammate to reduce their accumulated damage. Alternatively, you can throw it at an opponent. But since it only does a small amount of damage and there's a chance it'll actually heal them instead, why would you bother doing a thing like that...?

Trivia
Trivia
*In Brawl, Team Healers can do damage and knockback to characters with invincibility (they will miss intangible players), such as that created by the Super Star.
*Team Healers can do damage and knockback to characters with the invincibility with hit lag, such as that created by Starman.
*The item's trophy is labelled "Team Recovery Ball" when listed on a Subspace Emissary level completion screen.
*If the player selected the Ice Climbers, this will work on the computer controlled character, even if there are no teams (e.g. Training Mode) or there are no other players on the player's team. It's simple enough to press the grab button during a jump to drop it directly on him or her.
*The item can also appear in battles without teams, as the game only checks to see if team battle is on and the item is enabled in Item Switch.
*The Team Healer and Spring are the only items in Smash 4 not to be present in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
