Hi there![edit]

Welcome!

Welcome to our wiki, and thank you for your contributions! There's a lot to do around here, so I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.

Read this first as it provides many great resources designed to help users get oriented with the wiki and become part of the community.
Visit the recent changes to see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
Questions? You can ask at the help desk or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page!
Need help? The community portal has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit.

I'm really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!

Hi there, just a quick thing[edit]

Here. On SmashWiki, there is a rule that we only revert an edit once. Once an edit has been reverted, the disagreement should then be taken to the article's talk page, rather than continuing to revert it. Thank you for your understanding and have a nice day! Smasher pages and show preview[edit]

Please do not create low effort articles. A smasher page should also include tournament placings and categories upon creation. You also shouldn't remove the speedy delete tag before adding in the results. Secondly, remember to use show preview,Showpreview.png so that you can correct your mistakes in 1 go without clogging the Recent Changes. Grand Dad.png NPM Morr!? Reminder, you are still missing one crucial part of smasher pages, the categories. Also you missed the 2v2 placements. Grand Dad.png NPM Morr!? NaughtyPigBoi.jpg 11:10, August 5, 2022 (EDT)

Smasher page wins[edit]

A quick reminder, on Smasher pages there is a limit of 8 wins that can be listed. If a player got a win that's better than the 8 listed, one of the players listed should be replaced. CookiesCnC Signature.pngCreme 14:25, August 28, 2022 (EDT)

Most historically significant players[edit]

Always remember that we can only list a maximum of 5 offline and online placements as well as 3 offline and online wins in those sections. More than that is over the limit. Grand Dad.png NPM Morr!? NaughtyPigBoi.jpg 00:52, September 4, 2022 (EDT)

Dark Wizzy[edit]

Something I noticed, but you tend to have a rather noticeable bias towards Dark Wizzy. It's perfectly fine for Wizzy to be one of your favorite players, but please do not have it leak onto the wiki. For one, having one really good run does not equate to him being the definitive best in the world, especially when most of the year he had been consistently outperformed by and had effectively the same wins as Kurama; I'd rather wait and see how Wizzy fairs for the rest of the year before making such a change. Second, in the tournament history section there's no need to list off every single win Wizzy got in a bracket, especially if it's against players he's clearly better than (eg Pink Fresh and Zinoto), since it just serves to add bloat and make it read more like a real-time report. Smasher skill levels[edit]

Hi, as you've probably noticed, we changed the terminology used for skill levels and introduced a new skill level between top level (formerly "top professional") and high level (formerly "professional"). Alongside that, I rewritten the guidelines for the skill levels to make them more clear, which you should read here before disputing any more skill changes. Since I never seen you around on Discord (unless you go by a different name there and lurk), I assume you didn't get the memo and so though to notify you directly (though I strongly recommend joining it, especially since you seem to edit competitive stuff often and other competitive-focused editors often discuss competitive wiki stuff on there). On another note, since we are trying to make the top level listing truly exclusive, in borderline cases, it's probably best to err against labelling someone top level (especially after just a single recent big performance).
