Smasher names[edit]

First, on PRs, the tags that were used at the time of the PR is the tag that is used on the PR listing. This reduces work needed, especially for smashers that change their tags often. It also prevents confusion; if the source uses the old tags (which is often for graphics, tweets, or forums), it would appear that the wiki is displaying the wrong information if it uses the newer tag.

Second, if a smasher changes their tag, don't recreate the page. The best course of action is to move the page. This preserves redirects and keeps the edit history in tact. --CanvasK (talk) 20:07, January 6, 2023 (EST)

This edit[edit]

Hi, when reporting on any controversies or other sorts of player misconduct, you must provide sources verifying the controversy happened or such edits will be removed. I have reverted you, but you can readd it back if you properly source it. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 16:57, June 14, 2023 (EDT)

A heads up[edit]

Hi, we recently decided that with results on Smasher pages, we want to start highlighting majors with bold text and supermajors with bold + italic text, as well as listing the amount of entrants each tournament had in addition to the player's placement. Refer to our guidelines for how it should be formatted. Any results you add to the wiki from now on should abide to this, even if it's not consistent across the wiki yet (though we would also appreciate people fixing this for already listed results too, since it's work that cannot be relegated to bots). Additionally, Smasher articles should now have a rankings section showing the player's ranking history, as formatted here. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 18:25, July 31, 2023 (EDT)
