This template can also be used for interwiki links. For example, <code><nowiki>{{S|wikipedia|Super Smash Bros. Brawl}}</nowiki></code> results in {{S|wikipedia|Super Smash Bros. Brawl}}. However, be warned that this is a coincidence and not the intended use of the template.
Since the syntax used here is fundamentally similar to the interwiki syntax, you can use this to link to an interwiki page as well; however {{t|iw}} is preferred for such linking, as it is capable of proper linking to pages with (parentheses) on the end.

A namespace-linking simplifier. Put in {{S|X|Y}} for a shortcut of [[X:Y|Y]].

For example, {{S|Special|RecentChanges}} results in RecentChanges.

Since the syntax used here is fundamentally similar to the interwiki syntax, you can use this to link to an interwiki page as well; however {{iw}} is preferred for such linking, as it is capable of proper linking to pages with (parentheses) on the end.
