*[[Ganondorf]]: Ganondorf thrusts his feet straight downwards, inflicting heavy damage and knockback on anyone who is hit by it. The move's [[hitstun]] is also high, thanks to the attack's [[electric]]al damage. Aerial opponents are almost guaranteed to be KO'd if not over a platform when stomped. Can Star-KO grounded opponents as low as 80%. This meets the criteria of a stomp even further, as the move's sweetspot is at the feet.

This gives heavy knockback and damage, yet is fairly hard to directly hit opponent due to the move's [[hitbox]] size, and Charizard's weight. Charizard's two aerial jumps slightly help this disability, however these jumps give Charizard minimal height.

The stomp is one of the main types of down aerial. Stomps refer to single hit aerials that have the quality of being a meteor smash but can also be a spike. If a stomp hits an airborne player, that player will be knocked straight down into the ground. If it hits a character on the ground, it will launch them straight up in the air.

Characters with a stomp

  • Ganondorf: Ganondorf thrusts his feet straight downwards, inflicting heavy damage and knockback on anyone who is hit by it. The move's hitlag is also high, thanks to the attack's electrical damage. Aerial opponents are almost guaranteed to be KO'd if not over a platform when stomped. Can Star-KO grounded opponents as low as 80%. This meets the criteria of a stomp even further, as the move's sweetspot is at the feet.
  • Captain Falcon: Visually similar to Ganondorf's stomp, but weaker and with less ending/landing lag. Also includes Isai Stomping.
  • Ness: Ness's stomp is on par with Captain Falcon's, but weaker than Donkey Kong's Charizard's or Ganondorf's, but is still powerful due to Ness's ability to double jump cancel (Melee only)
  • Donkey Kong: Visually similar to Ness's stomp, but stronger in damage and knockback.
  • Charizard: This is the second strongest stomp and comparable to Ganondorf's, as Charizard charges up and then thrusts both legs downward. This gives heavy knockback and damage, yet is fairly hard to directly hit opponent due to the move's hitbox size, and Charizard's weight. Charizard's two aerial jumps slightly help this disability, however these jumps give Charizard minimal height.

Other types of d-airs

  • Drill: A down aerial that is also a meteor smash or occasionally a spike but hits multiple times instead
