The stomp is a type of down aerial. All stomps have the quality of being a meteor smash. If a stomp hits an airborne player, that player will be knocked straight down into the ground. If it hits a character on the ground, it will launch them straight up in the air.

Characters with a stomp

  • Ganondorf: Probably the most famous stomp, Ganondorf thrusts his feet straight downwards, inflicting heavy damage and knockback on anyone who is hit by it. Hitstun is also rather high, thanks to the attack's electrical damage. Aerial opponents are almost guaranteed to be KO'd if not over a platform when stomped. Can Star-KO grounded opponents as low as 80%.
  • Captain Falcon: Visually similar to Ganondorf's stomp, but weaker and with less ending/landing lag. Also includes Isai Stomping.
  • Ness: Ness's Stomp is weaker than Captain Falcon's or Ganondorf's, but is powerful due to Ness's ability to double jump cancel (Melee only)
  • Donkey Kong: Very similar to Ganondorf's and Falcon's stomp, about between them in terms of speed and power.
  • Charizard: Second strongest stomp and nearly exactly like Ganondorf's. Gives heavy Knockback and Damage yet hard to directly hit opponent due to size, position and weight. His three jumps helps this disability however.
