Template:Character Samus is a very versitle character in the Super Smash Bros. Melee. She has an excellent moveset that allows her to handle all kinds of situations. She is also fairly heavy and has arguably the best recovery in the game if you utilze her bomb jumping and grapple beam. Samus also has a weird assortment of techniques such as the Super Wavedash and the Extended Grapple.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Extremely varied range of attacks; Samus has virtually no bad attacks
  • Powerful projectiles
  • Amazing Meteor Smash
  • Amazing horizontal and vertical recovery
  • Range of attacks allow a variety of styles
  • Excellent Wavedash
  • May have the most amount of "tricks" in the game
  • Great edgeguarder
  • Makes great crouch cancel of the crouch cancel

Cons

  • Overall too much lag
  • Poor forward and up aerial (U-air is a great combo move IMO, and Fair's not that bad)
  • Poor dashdance game
  • One of the worst rolls in the game
  • Grapple can only be used as a dashgrab because of the long startup and cooldown times
  • Hard to combo characters
  • Bomb recovery is easily disrupted by weapon spammers
