G2 ESports, also known as G2 Kinguin after its title sponsor, is a Spanish professional E-Sports organization that was founded as League of Legends team Gamers2 in February 2014 by former SK Gaming star mid-laner Carlos Rodriguez (Ocelote). By the time it rebranded as G2 ESports in November 2015, the team had already begun to branch into other games, including Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. On July 11th, 2016, a mere matter of days before EVO, G2 announced their entry into Super Smash Bros. by signing Westballz from Tempo Storm.[1]
