It is a Fighting-type Pokémon (#106 in the National Pokédex) that evolves from Tyrogue since the series' second generation. Hitmonlee is a Pokémon known for it's long, springlike legs that allow it to kick rapidly from a distance. In Smash Bros., Hitmonlee uses Jump Kick, a Fighting-type move that damages the user if missed.
