Advance Wars is a series of turn-based tactics video games. Originally Japan-only as Famicom Wars, Super Famicom Wars and Game Boy Wars; Advance Wars, the first game to be released internationally, was developed for the Game Boy Advance by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo in the USA in 2001 and Europe in 2002; with subsequent international releases following for the GBA and Nintendo DS.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Infantry and Tanks is an Assist Trophy, it appears with the original sprites from the Advance Wars games. When the soldiers appear, they shoot bullets in different directions. Additionally, some commanding officers known from the first three parts of the series - original Orange Star trio of Andy, Max and Sami, Advance Wars: Dual Strike protagonists Jake and Rachel and Advance Wars: Black Hole CO Hawke - appear as stickers.
