Revision as of 07:50, July 7, 2022
Double Down 2022 is an upcoming supermajor which will take place on July 8th-10th, 2022 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and will feature tournaments for both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is the sequel to Royal Flush and was previously set to be the first Platinum tier stop on the 2020 Smash World Tour for both games on June 5th-7th, 2020 prior to its postponement due to the coronavirus pandemic; the tournament will instead be a Platinum stop on the Smash World Tour 2022 for both games. It was later planned for March 25th-27th, 2022 before being postponed again due to problems that arose due to the Omicron variant.[1] Various side events, a Rock Paper Scissors tournament, and Mario Party Superstars minigames will also take place, while an Ultimate Squad Strike bracket was planned before the tournament's first postponement.
