Airdodging is performed by fully pressing either the L or R button while in the air. Airdodging can be performed with or without a direction. Doing so in a direction pushes your character a certain short distance in the direction desired. When you airdodge, you get some frames of invincibility but after the dodge is finished, you fall in a "prone" position, unable to perform any jumps or attacks until you grab an edge or land on the ground. Airdodging in a downward direction while your dodge will bring you in contact with the ground will cause a character to slide a distance on the ground depending on the angle of the dodge, the traction of the character and the ground and your height from the ground. This is known as Wave Dashing.
