Waluigi (ワルイージ, Waluigi), is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was announced alongside Isaac during the E3 Nintendo Direct on June 11th, 2020 as the ??? DLC character and is the 2nd downloadable character for the Fighters Pass 2. Waluigi will be released in ??? 2020. Waluigi is classified as Fighter #??.

Charles Martinet's portrayals of Waluigi in the Mario games, mainly Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8, were repurposed for Ultimate.

Attributes[edit]

  • Waluigi's respective design is based on his appearance as a Assist Trophy but higher quality in comparison to his Assist Trophy model.
  • Three of his moves originate from his appearance as a Assist Trophy
    • His Final Smash is Waluigi Pinball, from the track of the same name in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart 7.

Trivia[edit]

  • Their reveal trailer is almost exactly like King K. Rool's and Banjo & Kazooie's trailer.
    • Luigi dressing up as Waluigi may reference the perceived similarities between them, as they are both partners to their main character.
    • The opening part is nearly identical to Banjo & Kazooie's trailer, with the only difference being the addition of Ness and Lucas fighting Porky to the hand-drawn section.
  • Their introduction tagline is a reference to Walugi's line.
  • Shadow, Waluigi, and Isaac are the only fighters that are also Assist Trophies.
