Articles[edit]

Dearest Scr7,

Articles are a specific type of adjective in the English language. Except for some in certain situations, the three articles are a, an, and the. The is the definite article: it refers to a specific object or set of objects. A and an, however, are indefinite. These are the articles I discuss now. These two articles have nearly identical meaning. An is used when followed by a word with a vowel sound; a is used before a word with a consonant sound. In this article, we disagree over whether a or an should be used before low. I pronounce low starting with a consonant, and as such use a before it. How do you pronounce it to think an is proper here? Chuck the Duck (talk) 12:09, 29 July 2013 (EDT) I forgot to sign =( Chuck the Duck (talk) 12:09, 29 July 2013 (EDT)

Um, I know what vowels and consonants are. And of course it's an a. What has this got do with anything? You just changed a link on the article, making it a redlink (which is wrong), so I reverted it. I have no idea what you're trying to address. And I'm not interested either. Scr7Wolfsig.png 12:15, 29 July 2013 (EDT)
My apologies! But I didn't realize I had changed the link. My mistake. Chuck the Duck (talk) 12:18, 29 July 2013 (EDT)
I must've clicked 'edit this page' before you fixed the link, but hit save page after, thus re-breaking the link. Chuck the Duck (talk) 12:24, 29 July 2013 (EDT)
Okay then Scr7Wolfsig.png 12:25, 29 July 2013 (EDT)
Turns out that was a typo I didn't see. Oh well. Scr7Wolfsig.png 15:45, 29 July 2013 (EDT)
