If you know that you're just going to keep on adding content in small bits like that, don't hit the save button until you're sure that you've added in the amount of content that you originally planned on adding. If you're unsure about how something looks, then use the preview button to check it ahead of time. Again, don't make a bunch of small, minor edits when you could have easily just made one big edit.
