I saw that you typed "SmashWiki" when I typed "Smash bros Wiki" the wikia site (note I am an inactive member of that site) was on the top search results. It really does depend on the search. If you had actually done any experimentation with the redirects you said "silly Emmett" over, you would know that when you have the redirect "Diffusion Beam glitch" (no capital g), typing in "diffusion beam glitch" into the search bar (as most people will do) does not result in a successful redirection. As such, "Diffusion Beam glitch" is useless as a redirect, which is why I moved it in the first place. Toomai also had this argument with me, and-- upon discovering that I was correct that the redirect with one capitalized letter and one uncapitalized letter does not function properly-- went off to go read the MediaWiki documentation, and never got back to me. So until he returns with more information, or you can provide such information, the page should be "Diffusion beam glitch." For future reference, I am in fact aware of proper nouns. – Emmett 00:37, 24 August 2012 (EDT)

I never got back to you about the documentation because I could not find any related to this..."issue". The only thing semi-related I found was this from wikipedia:Help:Redirect: "it is not necessary to create redirects from different capitalizations just because readers may enter them in the search box - the Go button resolves this automatically" (which is seemingly not what happens here). I'll poke around Wikipedia for a bit to see if our apparent "everything from the search box is routed through capless redirects" applies there. Look at what you said-- "Diffusion Beam glitch is an important redirect"-- and then look at what I said-- "'Diffusion Beam glitch' is useless as a redirect." Diffusion Beam glitch is not useful for the purpose that it is intended to serve-- to redirect users who type in 'diffusion beam glitch' into the search bar. The fact that you can link to "Diffusion Beam glitch" is not important; just type [[Regenerating terrain glitch|Diffusion Beam glitch]] if that's what you really want to display. Don't make random users have to do more work to find what they're looking for because you're too lazy to make links do what you intend them to. – Emmett 18:15, 24 August 2012 (EDT)
