Hi[edit]

Welcome to SmashWiki. We'd appreciate it if you edited articles all at once instead of doing it by section, as it avoids filling up Special:RecentChanges. Thanks. Nyargleblargle (Talk · Contribs) 19:44, 27 September 2015 (EDT)

Well, if you have a fear of potentially losing all of your work, and/or if you're overwhelmed or not confident with editing the entire page at once, it's a reasonable thing to edit things one by one, little by little.

Though a thing that could work is occasionally doing CTRL+A and CTRL+C to copy everything so if you lose it you could just paste it all back in. I mean if that's pertinent to this situation. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 19:57, 27 September 2015 (EDT)

No, this was unacceptable, especially considering it was for Smash Arena. It's not "work" SerpentKing (talk) 20:59, 27 September 2015 (EDT)
Ok. Are you really going to pick apart my words here? Sheesh. By definition "work" is something done or made by whatever amount of effort is put into it. Sort of like in the context of writing a paper on a computer and potentially "losing all your work" if the window closes out and you haven't saved. This isn't a paper or anything real important like that but you know, I used that word because it fit. Don't be so venomous, Serpent. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 18:49, 28 September 2015 (EDT)
I see what you did there. 76.5.56.188 16:40, 2 October 2015 (EDT)
The page was honestly too big for me to edit all at once. Also, I kept seeing things I wanted to put in different places at different points, and I'm not comfortable with reading it through wikitext, as I usually use Wikia. It won't happen again, I promise. 76.5.56.188 16:40, 2 October 2015 (EDT)
I understand. An alternative if you have an account (though it's not preferred) is to mark subsequent edits as minor. I hate to be nitpicky, but you can also sign your comments by using four ~s. Nyargleblargle (Talk · Contribs) 16:10, 28 September 2015 (EDT)
Ha, whoops. But I can't make an account, since I'd be useless. I don't know enough about Smash.
It's very easy to make an account, and you don't need to know a lot of Smash bros. stuff to help out! Remember, there are typos, bad grammar, cleanups to be made... That isn't an excuse for not making an account. INoMed-sig.png INoMed (Talk) 16:49, 2 October 2015 (EDT)
An icon used in notice templates. This is an IP's talk page. While it's not a requirement to have a username, those that do not can only be recognized by their IP address, which can change over time and/or be assigned to an unrelated user; they can even be shared by multiple users. If this talk page belongs to your IP but its comments are intended for someone else, you may want to login or create an account to eliminate future confusion.
