Up to Speed (known as Gotta Go Fast in PAL versions of the game) is a single-player event match in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. In it, the player controls Sonic, and must defeat Fox, Falco, and Captain Falcon in a high-speed 1 stock battle. The opponents appear to have little launch resistance.

Progression

This event is unlocked by clearing The Original Heavyweights and having Falco unlocked. Completing the event unlocks the up path.

Completing the event on hard difficulty within 25 seconds awards an Unharmed Speedster Ring equipment.

Trivia

  • The music used in this event, White Land, normally plays on Port Town Aero Dive, rather than Windy Hill Zone.
    • It may be a reference to the White Space in Sonic Generations.
  • Sonic's opponents are the same as all three fighters who appear in Event 43: Birds of Prey in Melee.
  • The European title for the event is a reference to the original 4Kids English opening to Sonic X (commonly referred to as "Gotta Go Fast").
