Taipan Smash Singles is an online Super Smash Bros. Ultimate singles tournament series currently held every Monday at 7pm EST. It debuted in late March 2021 and since then has had many notable entrants. It is ran by Taipan Esports, and streamed on Taipan Esports' Twitch channel. The VoDs are later uploaded on Taipan Esports' VoDs channel.
On January 4th, 2022 Taipan Esports announced the following:[1]
- Name changes from Taipan Ultimate Singles -> Taipan Smash Singles.
- The tournament series will host both a Melee singles bracket and an Ultimate singles bracket.
- Every ten tournaments the Taipan Smash Singles will be holding a top 8 PR chosen by the staff of the tournament.
- All tournament times have been moved back an hour.
