Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Championship 2019 3v3 was an invitational tournament held by Nintendo preceding E3 2019, that took place on June 8th, 2019. The tournament was held following the conclusion of the Splatoon 2 World Championship 2019.

The winners, Team Japan, each got a trophy, a medal, and congratulations from Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser and director of the Super Smash Bros. series, Masahiro Sakurai. Bowser announced Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Open June 2019, which would pay for travel and registration to EVO 2019 for four winners.

Players are decided from qualifiers, such as the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate North American Open 2019.

  • Seeding Round: 1v1 and 2v2, 6 minutes Timed mode, random stage, hazards off, stage morph every 2 minutes, all items on low (minus Poké Ball, Master Ball, and Assist Trophy), team attack on
  • Bracket rounds: Seed 1 vs. Seed 4 and Seed 2 vs. Seed 3, Tag Team Squad Strike, best of 3, 6 minutes Stock mode, random stage, hazards off, stage morph every 2 minutes, all items on low (minus Poké Ball, Master Ball, and Assist Trophy)
  • Finals: Tag Team Squad Strike, best of 5, 6 minutes Stock mode, random stage, hazards off, stage morph every 2 minutes, all items on low (minus Poké Ball, Master Ball, and Assist Trophy)

  • All players on Team Europe played Palutena and only used female characters.
    • However, Light picked Mario for a semifinal Squad Strike, but won before he was used.
