Smashdown World was a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U super regional tournament Project M regional tournament held in Paris, France on November 26th-27th, 2016. Some of the best European players, such as Mr.R and Sodrek, were in attendance. International guests included Kameme, ANTi, and komorikiri. Nairo and Larry Lurr were invited as well but ultimately didn't go due to miscommunication with the tournament organizers.

The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U singles event was the highest-attended tournament in France, surpassing Epita Smash Arena 2 in 2008. It was also notably the first Smash 4 tournament in Europe that Mr.R failed to win, losing to Japanese players komorikiri and Kameme for 5th place.
