Proving Grounds Round 1 (also known as PG1) was a regional Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament that was held in Bangalore, Karnataka from May 19th-20th, 2018. Proving Grounds Round 1 was an 8 player invitational Melee side event and was notably the first publicized Smash Bros tournament in India. It was succeeded by Proving Grounds Round 2.
