Tournament:Project M Championship Circuit

The Project M Championship Circuit was a national circuit for Project M totalling 12 major PM tournaments in the year 2016 and 16 major tournaments in the year 2017. Participants were encouraged to attend as many circuit events as possible in order to earn PMCC points, which were tallied at the final event to award a circuit prize to the top 8 finishers. The title of PMCC Champion was awarded to Junebug in 2016 for scoring the most points over the year of tournaments.

2017Edit

In 2017, the point system was announced with an added twist. There were 6 regions: Pacific Northwest, Pacific Southwest, Midwest, South, Atlantic Northeast, and Atlantic South. The event that a player obtains the most points from in each region would get a 20% amplification in points for said player, allowing a player to accumulate even more points by traveling out of the region. This was intended to encourage players to travel to different regions more often. There was also a "local tournament" component which would track local results from several regions and grant points to players who could perform well in-region. Unfortunately, with the cancellation of Olympus 2 and abrupt end to the 2017 circuit overall, there were no prizes for the top points finishers. A final tally of overall points was never calculated.

TriviaEdit

  • If Olympus had been included in the point totals for the Circuit in 2016, ThundeRzReiGN would have won by 60 points, 1490 to Junebug's 1430.
