Black Empowerment Melee Invitational was an online Super Smash Bros. Melee invitational tournament that was held from February 4th-7th, 2021. Special modes from the Team Akaneia mod were featured as side events. The event featured an all Black line up of players and aims to raise funds towards Black-centric charities. The event raised $8,269 through stream donations alone.[1]
