OverviewEdit

Update HistoryEdit

  4.0.0

  •   Down aerial no longer has its downward movement disabled when used out from of hitstun.

  7.0.0

  •   Down aerial's late hit deals more damage (12% → 14%) with knockback scaling not fully compensated (100 → 98), drastically improving its KO potential.

TimingEdit

AttackEdit

The move resets Toon Link's horizontal momentum and first sets his vertical speed to 1.6 on frames 1-16, then sets it to -3.8 from frame 17 onward. Manual horizontal movement is also disabled during frames 1-70, while jostling is disabled during frames 1-16. If the attack hits an opponent, Toon Link's vertical speed is reduced to -3.

TriviaEdit

  • Despite Toon Link's down aerial not bouncing off opponents hit since Smash 4, his character files still contain unused data for a hitbox after bouncing off, as well as parameters to decide the period and maximum times for the hitbox to reappear, much like Link and Young Link. The unused hitbox data is the following:
