Luminosity Gaming (LG) is a professional esports organization based in Canada. Luminosity Gaming was founded by Steve Maida in 2015, and specializes in teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Smite, League of Legends, and many others.

The organization first ventured into Smash -- and FGC as a whole -- on October 8th, 2016 when they signed Smash 4 player Abadango,[1] followed by Ice as their first Melee player two weeks later.[2]. However, just over a year later, Ice left the team on October 19th, 2017,[3] and Abadango followed on December 15th, 2017.[4] A few years later, Luminosity Gaming returned to Smash after signing Ginger on February 7th, 2021. They then signed their first Ultimate player Maister on October 9th, 2022.[5]

Since March 2023, Luminosity has seen a larger presence in the Smash community, particularly in Ultimate. They first signed several notable Ultimate players, namely MkLeo, Tweek, Big D, and Sonix. They also signed several prominent community members including TOs Max Ketchum and Toronto Joe, which extended to a partnership for their major tournament series Let's Make Moves, renamed to Luminosity Makes Moves. In addition, Luminosity also announced a partnership with the power ranking UltRank, renaming it to LumiRank in the process. Finally, Luminosity began a collaboration with Metafy, named the LG x Metafy Free Agent Sponsorship, which aimed to temporarily sponsor top Ultimate free agents for one or a few majors.[6]
