No Brawl Central Forum Clan Articles?Edit

I was wondering why none of the Brawl Central Forum Clans are on this Wiki. I for one will start an article on one, because I'm the founder of one of them! I would also like to encourage other Clan Leaders to do the same if they are reading this!--King Dedede Kirby 19:06, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Move ProposalEdit

Holy crap this was a wild ride of a rabbit hole to go down. Not sure if I regret going down it or not...all I wanted was to update this thing LOL

So there is evidence on me that VGDistrict became Smash Bros Central at some point. VGDistrict was run by Chris, and we see on a 2014 post archive that members wanted the chat to come back. We see that Chris was running the website in 2013. This along with the timely demise of VGDistrict - and redirect - that there are signs that this is what the website became. You could counter with this archive here to say that there was a merger or something though. Fact of the matter is, however, VGDistrict died, and it appears it at minimum merged with Smash Bros Central.

If there are any past members of either of these websites who can help me, I would appreciate. However, they weren't even pushing 100 members online in this time period, so I'm not confident at all in this. Should I be wrong, there's a few edits you'll need to make to the article given I put Smash Bros Central with it. -- Plague von Karma  00:43, May 29, 2020 (EDT)

Bumping this, I'd hate to see this wind up dying out and staying here for like a year or something. Does anyone have any information on this so the page can be improved? -- Plague von Karma  15:20, September 2, 2020 (EDT)

It seems this was canned by someone at some point - but this is being reopened. It seems Brawl Central is a more apt name for this page, after conversation with Rocky, an ex-staff member. Brawl Central was, during this site's lifespan, its peak, and has a few points of notoriety, such as being Ground Zero for Pikaman and some WiFi tournaments with notable players. Given there's Team:Brawl Central, "Brawl Central (Website)" with a disambiguation slapped on for good measure seems apt. There seems to be swathes of Brawl history that was just not adequately documented. Should be open-and-shut, but since there is this weirdness with page names, I'm putting in a move proposal to make sure we're on the same page. On a side note, Rocky seems to have some archives of old tournament results which may be worth tabling for pages at some point from a retroactive preservation standpoint -  Plague von Karma  15:03, April 20, 2024 (EDT)

I canned it when going through stagnant proposals last year, with this information it has my approval to be moved. And yes any old Brawl tournament results would be very appreciated, competitive Brawl in general is more poorly documented than other Smash games, especially early Brawl.
