Inconsistent Pages[edit]

This page contains the "Nintendo Labo SMASH KIT", and "Return to Koholint" spirit events, which both add DLC spirits to the game. However, all other events that add DLC spirits have their own separate pages, such as River City Smash, Super Smash Sisters, and Chain the Future to Spirits!. Should we create a page for each of these events? Roadrunnerto (talk) 02:24, February 14, 2020 (EST)

Split[edit]

Support. Per tag. TheNuttyOne 19:31, June 8, 2020 (EDT)

Neutral. Depends if the pages are going to be too small 46.229.158.109 02:39, June 9, 2020 (EDT)

Support. Thinking, they are probably gonna be big enough. Also per all. 46.229.158.109 12:55, June 15, 2020 (EDT)

I created a section with multiple subsections, perfect for mobile phone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.245.147.40 (talkcontribs) 03:04, June 9, 2020 (EDT)

Support. Though I feel that the events that are purely just exp/SP/etc. boosts may be too short. Perhaps move the events that have spirits involved and this gets renamed to Spirit Board events without spirits? --CanvasK (talk) 08:09, June 9, 2020 (EDT)

Support. Yeah, I felt like each section is written the same way as the individual pages. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is a never lover boy 22:53, June 12, 2020 (EDT)

Split method[edit]

So it seems as though the consensus is that this page does need to be split. However, a couple of users have raised concerns about some of the articles being really small, particularly the events which do not have specific spirits, randomly appearing or predetermined, associated with them (i.e. the ones which simply give you a bonus for beating any spirit battle while the event takes place). With that in mind, there are 2 options for how the split can be done, either by giving every single event on this page its own article, or by giving the events which have spirits involved their own articles, and keeping the ones which just give you a bonus whenever you beat a spirit battle compiled together on a single article, with a title along the lines of "Spirit Board events without associated spirits". Please comment below on the option you believe is the better one. Alex the Weeb 18:29, June 20, 2020 (EDT)

Give all events their own article[edit]

  1. I don't think option 2 really solves the problem of an excessively large and messy article, it just pushes the problem back a little, and if new events keep occurring (which they are likely too for at least as long as development for the game continues, and if Smash 4 is any indication, even longer than that), then the resulting article will once again become long and cluttered. 2. Sure. TheNuttyOne 19:32, June 20, 2020 (EDT)
  3. I was originally leaning towards the second option, however I'm going with this one. I realized that many of the normal events from Melee, Brawl, etc. are pretty short, so the small Spirit events wouldn't be too out of place. --CanvasK (talk) 23:31, June 20, 2020 (EDT)
  4. Per Canvas. 46.229.158.109 06:19, June 25, 2020 (EDT)

  6. I also support Canvas. DigitalHazard (talk) 02:52, July 7, 2020 (CST)
  7. Name says it all. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is a never lover boy 15:53, July 17, 2020 (EDT)

Only give events with associated spirits articles[edit]
