How is this unnecessary? People use the term 'RttF' quite commonly. {EspyoT} 18:42, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

It's unnecessary because there are no pages that link to it. Toomai Glittershine The Table Designer cntrbs 19:26, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Curse you Toomai, you got there before me... Firstly, what Toomai said. Secondly, "RTTF" isn't a sensible thing to type into a search box. It's very unlikely that a page is going to be called "RTTF" instead of "Race to the Finish". Thirdly, the page in question is "RTTF", not, as you said, "RttF" which is a completely different page (which, coincidentally, I've just tagged as well). PenguinofDeath 19:39, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
At the above 2 comments, no, fail. Redirects- especially redirects that are abbreviations- should not in general be linked to at all. A link to the actual article would be preferrable in most- if not all- cases. In addition, you gave the article less than 5 hours to be linked to from anywhere, so of course there weren't any links created in that time.
"'RTTF' isn't a sensible thing to type into a search box." ....um...what? Why is it any less reasonable than CPU or SSB? Why in the world would you not redirect a common abbreviation for something in SSB?
Nobody is proposing that the information on either of the Race to the Finish articles be moved to a page titled RttF, so honestly I don't know what you're getting at here. You are correct that this page is redundant with the creation of Rttf, but other than that there is no reason not to keep this page. --Shadowcrest 20:00, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Actually, when I created the page, I made the mistake of not naming it "RttF", and instead "RTTF". Sorry guys. But, I created it mainly because people have the tendency to write "RttF" on the search box rather than "Race to the Finish"! I never said that this page should be linked. It's like SSB, SSBM, CPU, WD, etc; like mentioned above. {EspyoT} 21:25, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
