Uh, MilesEdit

The joint artwork isn't on this page, and when I added said artwork, you reverted it citing that it's "redundant." What's so wrong with the female Robin image that you have to keep it removed from here? blue ninjakoopa 17:27, 16 July 2014 (EDT)

Nevermind, I had to do a hard refresh to see the image. Carry on. blue ninjakoopa 17:28, 16 July 2014 (EDT)

RefletEdit

Should we have something in the article specifying how "Reflet" is pronounced? I've heard many people pronounce it '"Ref-let" as opposed to "Ref-lay".

MintyGuy700 (talk) 18:43, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
Enter the kana into Google Translate and click on the speak button. PikaSamus (talk)   18:47, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
I put it in Google Translate.
It said "REE-flet".
Carry on. Rtzxy   Smashing! 19:00, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
Are you certain that you put ルフレ? PikaSamus (talk)   19:08, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
I also did that. It came out as a different word: "Rufure" (pronounced the same as roofer) in English. However, putting "Reflet" in (you can convert English into English), it came out pronounced "REE-flet". Rtzxy   Smashing! 19:12, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
Rufure should be pronounced Rufray or Ruflay. PikaSamus (talk)   19:14, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
Well, Google Translate says "ROO-fer", so… I don't know Japanese. Rtzxy   Smashing! 19:16, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
It sounds like "Roofooray" to me, so maybe it's just the accent messing you up? Return of Air Conditioner   /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Contract? 19:31, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
I don't know, I hear "roofer". Probably just my preference or something with Google Translate. Rtzxy   Smashing! 19:37, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
http://youtu.be/hGdOGAs-KSI Watch this and skip to 9:31. The announcer pronounces it "Ref-lay" MintyGuy700 (talk) 19:42, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
Yes, but the announcer can sometimes be unclear in pronunciation. "SUMUS," "ALF," "SHOKE," etc. Return of Air Conditioner   MONOKUMA DID NOTHING WRONG 19:48, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
It's spelled like ricochet, ballet, or Chevrolet. But pronounced like Ricoshay, bally, and shevrolay. MintyGuy700 (talk) 19:53, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
(resetting indent to one colon) Since the Japanese kana has the last part as "ay", it's Reflay. PikaSamus (talk)   19:54, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
Plus, "SUMUS" is Samus, which is usually pronounced "SAM-us" or "SAY-mus", but not "SU-mus". So, we shouldn't use the announcer's official pronunciation, but rather, the most used pronunciation. Rtzxy   Smashing! 19:58, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
(Edit conflict) If I may add, Reflet is French/Italian in origin; in the former language, terms that end with "et" rhyme with the English "ay", such as in "buffet". Its appropriate English pronunciation is also given as "ref-lay".
--- Monsieur Crow, Author Extraordinaire, 20:00, 28 October 2014 (EDT)
(edit conflict) In Japan, where most of the people who call the character Reflet come from, it's impossible to read the katakana as Ref-lett, due to the fact that kana is based on pronunciation. PikaSamus (talk)   20:04, 28 October 2014 (EDT)

Is this worthy of a trivia point?Edit

"*In an interview in November 2014, David Vincent, the default male voice actor for Robin, was asked (and proceeded) to say "I'm really feeling it!" in Robin's voice."

Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura  21:50, 12 August 2015 (EDT)

I don't see why not. Serpent King (talk) 22:29, 12 August 2015 (EDT)
I'll wait for more support (or opposition) until I add it back.  Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura  22:30, 12 August 2015 (EDT)
I thought it was worth keeping. Firstly, "I'm really feeling it!" is probably more famous for being in Smash than for being in Xenoblade. The only reason Robin's voice actor was asked to say "I'm really feeling it!" is because Shulk and Robin both appear in Smash 4. So I'd say it's notable. John   PK SMAAAASH!! 22:41, 12 August 2015 (EDT)
In my opinion, I feel it's unnecessary and kind of irrelevant. In other words, at least to me, I don't think it's noteworthy as trivia. Rtzxy   Reflect! 23:15, 12 August 2015 (EDT)
It's way too stupidly trivial to be a trivia point. Any VA can quote anything from any character via any means (Twitter, YouTube, interviews, conventions, etc.) but is that really trivia-worthy? It's just unnecessary in my eyes. Like, cool, they quoted someone, it was funny/cool, but not wiki-worthy by any means. Things like "such and such also voice such and such in Smash" or "this VA is also has this relation to this VA in Smash" would be a little more trivia-worthy because they have more significance; moreso than just a VA in a random interview quoting something from the game.
Otherwise this gets the foot in the door for even more irrelevant stuff like "such and such VA from this game had a conversation on Twitter about their characters" or "the president of this company referenced this character in this way." Smashedpotatoes (talk) 23:22, 12 August 2015 (EDT)
I agree it's a pretty ridiculous trivia point. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 14:52, 13 August 2015 (EDT)
We currently stand 3-3...any other supporters/opposers? (I'll wait until 9 PM EST to make my final decision.)  Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura  14:55, 13 August 2015 (EDT)
Only a day of discussion seems pretty short, but I guess we're looking at six opinions, hopefully seven eventually which is a pretty good amount... ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 14:56, 13 August 2015 (EDT)
Well, I did put it up yesterday, for the record...but yea, it's something that doesn't need much. If it was like how sucky a character is, then it would need much more.  Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura  14:59, 13 August 2015 (EDT)
I say don't add it. It's irrelevant to Robin, so there's no point in adding it. Berrenta (talk) 16:51, 13 August 2015 (EDT)

(Reset indent) Well, it's 9 PM EST, and it's 3-4, in favor of opposition. That settles it.  Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura  21:04, 13 August 2015 (EDT)

Official artworkEdit

Thoughts on using this art of Robin in the infobox and bumping the Awakening portrait down to the gallery? The linked piece is from a licensed Fates book and is, so far as I can tell, the only full-body unobstructed piece of official art of the character since the Avatar had none for Awakening. There's no design differences involved, but it's a bit of an oddball source and I wanted to hear some other opinions on the subject before adding it. Miles (talk) 03:19, 14 November 2016 (EST)

Truth be told, I'd prefer it if it were a larger image. I dunno, I'd rather have a high quality cut image than a low quality full image, you know?  Aidan, the Thankful Dragon Warrior  10:17, 14 November 2016 (EST)
With that said, though, I could see if I can make it any larger than it is now, while still keeping its quality.  Aidan, the Thankful Dragon Warrior  10:17, 14 November 2016 (EST)
The quality and size are already adequate, from my perspective. Miles (talk) 15:37, 14 November 2016 (EST)
Saving it onto my computer shows that it is a mere 200 by 217 pixels. Wouldn't you say that's a bit small?  Aidan, the Thankful Dragon Warrior  15:41, 14 November 2016 (EST)
...That's weird, it should be 829x901. Try this link. Miles (talk) 15:46, 14 November 2016 (EST)

(reset indent) ...That is indeed weird. Even when clicking "full resolution", it still resorts to 200x217. ...Which, now that I think about it, explains why the doubled image I created, just in case you were going to ask for it, seemed a bit big.  Aidan, the Thankful Dragon Warrior  15:48, 14 November 2016 (EST)

Ok, after hitting ctrl + shift + R, it properly resized.
With that being said, I wouldn't mind the image being updated to that.  Aidan, the Thankful Dragon Warrior  16:57, 14 November 2016 (EST)
