American R.O.B. as main R.O.B.?

Why is the American R.O.B. artwork replacing the Famicom R.O.B. artwork? The JP R.O.B. is the main R.O.B., while the NES R.O.B. is just a recolor of it. Metalex123 (talk) 18:12, 3 October 2014 (EDT)

Then again, they also evened out his pictures, with half of them using the American colors and the other half using Japanese colors, I know that the Japanese render is used on the official site, but more likely than not, the reason for that is so they don't have to make additional versions of that page.
