American ROB

The ESRB leak seems to resemble the American ROB. Is it possible that he defaults to this color scheme in America? ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching... 23:02, 13 September 2014 (EDT)

Maybe. We just have to wait and see. Rtzxy Signature SmashBall.jpeg Smashing! 23:03, 13 September 2014 (EDT)

Now that we know that this is the case, should we use R.O.B.'s American artwork as his main artwork? I know his Japanese art is consistent with Brawl's coloration, but as this isn't a Japanese wiki, it may confuse a few people and new players. Laikue (talk|contribs) 16:47, 3 October 2014 (EDT)

I think it depends on whatever colour the official site uses, once he gets put on it. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Glow 16:48, 3 October 2014 (EDT)

American R.O.B. as main R.O.B.?

Why is the American R.O.B. artwork replacing the Famicom R.O.B. artwork? The JP R.O.B. is the main R.O.B., while the NES R.O.B. is just a recolor of it. Metalex123 (talk) 18:12, 3 October 2014 (EDT)

In the international version of the game, the NES colored R.O.B. is used as the main artwork, considering this is not a Japanese wiki, some people think it'd be best to use the main artwork from the international versions. Laikue (talk|contribs) 21:20, 3 October 2014 (EDT)
I think we should swap the first and second palette swap in his palette swap list. Also, can someone change his head icon? I have no idea how to do that. Ma321 (talk) 9:07 4 October 2014 (EDT)
I don't think we should be making any changes at this time. Wait until the official site shows which version is "primary" for English regions, then use that. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Indescribable 10:26, 4 October 2014 (EDT)
Well, his Famicom appearance is his default on the website. Awesomelink234 is really feeling it! 07:17, 15 October 2014 (EDT)
Then again, they also evened out his pictures, with half of them using the American colors and the other half using Japanese colors, I know that the Japanese render is used on the official site, but more likely than not, the reason for that is so they don't have to make additional versions of that page. Laikue (talk|contribs) 10:03, 15 October 2014 (EDT)
They have to make one page version per language regardless. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Zesty 10:06, 15 October 2014 (EDT)
Is there a reason why we are selectively deciding to ignore the game and what the game does this time? The official release of the game uses the gray R.O.B., even if the website doesn't. 71.51.97.12 21:43, 15 October 2014 (EDT)
The website is the only source of official art. The only North American ROB art we have is technically unofficial from a low-quality image dump. So. ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching... 21:45, 15 October 2014 (EDT)
Not necessarily true, if you check the palette swap page's talk page you can see this link which has the HQ renders of each and every character, albeit they're a bit big and lack transparency (although the latter can be added on)..... here's the American R.O.B. one though,, so you don't have to rummage [1] 21:52, 15 October 2014 (EDT)
Transparency on those colors is harder than you'd think. Not to mention that's still not an official source. ---Previously unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 16:23, 20 October 2014 (EDT)

S3?

When did R.O.B.'s forward smash get a name? Blue Ninjakoopa 19:44, 6 October 2014 (EDT)

All-Star trophy. Laikue (talk|contribs) 20:51, 6 October 2014 (EDT)

Just a question, in the future will R.O.B get his English default palette, due to this site being in the English language. Thesupernintendokid (talk) 04:20, 14 November 2014 (EST)

Unlock method

Is there a source to needing to beat 10 rounds of Crazy Orders to unlock R.O.B.? Because I have the official strategy guide now, and it says 8 turns. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 09:46, 5 January 2015 (EST)

R.O.B.'s emotions

Did R.O.B. ever have one closed eye upon injury? I ask that because I played the 3DS version and he never made the aforementioned expression. Marioisawesome118 Marioisawesome118.png 15:16, 6 April 2015 (EDT)

I've seen lines of green code in his eyes when he gets hurt... Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 15:27, 6 April 2015 (EDT)

"Robo Hoo Hah"?

Is this a widely used term in the Smash community? If so, is it relevant enough to include as a detail in the Trivia section? IronMaidMaryan (talk) 20:15, 17 August 2015 (EDT)

Neither. Changing the head icon used. No biggie.Aidan, Master of Speed and AuraPer Request, for User:Aidanzapunk. 00:17, 18 August 2015 (EDT)
This is a little late, but I think it's called the "Beep-Boop". John This is for my signature, which I was told needed to be edited. PK SMAAAASH!! 10:52, 10 December 2015 (EST)
I can confirm that. Almost all commentators and many non-commentators use the "Beep Boop" phrase. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 12:29, 10 December 2015 (EST)
