I accidentally moved this to the wrong page and it won't let me revert. Can an administrator undo my action please? Mr. Anon teh awsome 18:37, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Uh-ohEdit

Omega, you just deleted the article. It had already been moved back. Doctor Pain 99 (CTE)   19:13, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

What happen was, I deleted the redirect so the article could be moved. After I deleted the redirect, you moved the page. Since I wasn't looking at recent changes at the time, I was unaware of this. So when I tried moving the page after the deletion, I still got the message that an article existed at the location. So thinking the last delete didn't go through, I choose to delete and move, which caused this mess to get even bigger. Next time, try to stay out of a moving procedure being conducted by an admin. What happened on my side is that I saw Anon's message and went to make sure that it actually couldn't be reverted, before you deleted the page. It let me revert, so I went a head with it, but you were faster and deleted the page before I hit "move". What you said happened then happened, and it was just a big confusion for everyone. It's not really anyone's fault. Doctor Pain 99 (CTE)   19:39, September 5, 2010 (UTC)
You should have known beforehand that you can't move a page to a title that is already used, which is why an admin had to delete the redirect created so the article could be moved to the proper title. Omega Tyrant   19:47, September 5, 2010 (UTC)
Uh, usually that is the case, but you can revert a move if the original page is just a redirect. Doctor Pain 99 (CTE)   19:59, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry about this guys. I was going to move the technique (the one you can do with Link) to Quickdraw (technique), then change the redirect "Quickdraw" to the move of Ike's. Mr. Anon teh awsome 20:23, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Want me to do that now Anon? Doctor Pain 99 (CTE)   20:31, September 5, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you. That would be very nice. As you can see, I am not very experienced with moving pages. Mr. Anon teh awsome 22:17, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

In the future, an Admin should simply move the page. There will be an option to delete the page to make way for the move. Do that, and we avoid shit like this. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 03:08, September 6, 2010 (UTC)
