Pikmin Evolution[edit]

"In the games a fully bloomed flower meant a Pikmin was stronger and faster than a Pikmin with just a leaf on its head. It is currently unknown if this will carry on into Brawl and if it does, how one makes a Pikmin's flower grow."

I can't remember which one it was, but I saw a video on Youtube wherein the Pikmin lived long enough to bloom. It simply happens if they live long enough. I'll try to find the exact video I saw it in (coincidentally, the fight was on Distant Planet). The Inker 02:25, February 3, 2008 (EST)

Pikmin will bloom if they survive, so in time they bloom, but I think that if one is attack, it could slow the procces. I also think that when the Pikmin bloom, they can return to you easier, you know, as if they have a computer or an Al in a fashion simular to Nana when she follows Popo. So as the leaf grows, either it makes the Al smarter, or they just get faster. It might also make their health higher. O yea, I remember first noticing this in Adventure mode when you first get Captain Olimar, but when I threw a red pikmin at a missle fired by a R.O.B., the pikmin went through the missle and the missle activated, but the pukmin wasn't hurt. Does this mean that pikmin can be used for defensive tactics, and if so, what moves can help acomplish this? I know the smashes can, but can air attacks do this? Learner3 14:12, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Pikmin don't "evolve", they grow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Falcoz (talkcontribs) 01:40, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

another pikmin[edit]

there's a mushroom pikmin. it says so in pikipedia: Mushroom Pikmin, or "Puffmin", are not a separate species, but rather the result of allowing Pikmin to be exposed to the spore cloud attack from a Puffstool. Pikmin affected by the cloud turn purple, grow mushrooms on their heads and turn against Olimar and other unaffected Pikmin. Mushroom Pikmin can be cured by shaking them off Olimar, by attacking one with an unaffected Pikmin, by defeating the Puffstool, or simply waiting for the effect to wear off. Both Mushroom Pikmin and the Puffstool are found only in Pikmin. Mushroom Pikmin can sometimes turn against the Puffstool due to a certain glitch, and can sometimes even be controlled by Olimar, depending on exactly how the glitch is carried out. i'm Valehd the smashbro pro!(talk) 10:35, 1 March 2015 (EST)

I think that listing mushroom Pikmin goes into the area of "as a Smash Bros. wiki, we don't need to know this". I mean we don't list Bulbmin either. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Awesome 12:45, 1 March 2015 (EST)

Bulbmin[edit]

I don't think Bulbmin belong in this article. It's a wiki about Smash Bros. Sure we cover stuff about fighter's home universes, but even over on Pikipedia, Bulbmin aren't even generally considered one of the types of Pikmin, generally just more of a subset of Pikmin, like, say, Puffmin (or Mushroom Pikmin if you prefer). It does not help the article at all and is mostly irrelevant information for a Smash Wiki, which is what we are supposed to be. If they want more info on that particular subject, we have a link on the page to Pikipedia's page about it. Does anyone have any logical objections, or should we just get rid of this? 72.133.91.93 07:56, 18 September 2018 (EDT)Blueflame105
