Best selling gameEdit

Do we really need to keep saying that it's the best selling game in the world on every minecraft related page because I've noticed that all of the pages say that Its Ya Boy, MeleeBoi   11:25, October 1, 2020 (EDT)

I'm guessing it was added by whoever created all these pages... I agree it's not super necessary, yeah. ~ Serena Strawberry (talk) 15:27, October 1, 2020 (EDT)
How many pages is it on now? It's notable, at least for this page. --Meester Tweester (talk) 16:31, October 1, 2020 (EDT)

Trailer SongEdit

Does anyone know what the song in Steve's trailer is? Ss4 (talk) 15:17, October 1, 2020 (EDT)

It's "Halland" from Minecraft Dungeons. I went and added that. ~ Serena Strawberry (talk) 15:27, October 1, 2020 (EDT)

Game with elements in/from SectionEdit

Given the sheer scope of Minecraft the main game, I'm wondering if it should be broken up as more content will inevitably come in. I was thinking of dividing it up into the alpha/beta phase, the full release and then one for every major patch after that. Guybrush20X6 (talk) 05:17, October 3, 2020 (EDT)

"Does zombie = villain?" discussionEdit

I feel that there's a lot of mixed feelings on the topic of whether Zombie counts as the first 3rd party villain or not. I will say that if we count a garden variety Piranha Plant as a villain, then in turn, Zombie should count as one. Guybrush20X6 (talk) 15:32, October 14, 2020 (EDT)

Regarding the trivia stating that the PAC-MAN series has official Minecraft skins...Edit

Should they really be considered skins? I've always seen them as their own thing entirely, as they're only usable in the PAC-MAN DLC map, and are selected in-game rather than through the skins section of the options menu.  Arqade (Talk) 21:41, October 20, 2020 (EDT)

The idea of the trivia can be summed up as "Minecraft has crossed over with these franchises before," and most of them, technically including PAC-MAN, cross over via skins. For simplicity's sake, I think we should leave it at that. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss.   13:44, October 21, 2020 (EDT)

Rayman and FalloutEdit

I am 174 under a different account because my WiFi doesn’t work. Rayman and Fallout I think should be added because the ay at least are represented in SSB. We can’t add the Simpsons of course no 4th parties allowed! 174.198.9.136 03:04, October 31, 2020 (EDT)

I guess no one heard me because of my WiFi account change. 174.249.81.83 03:23, November 1, 2020 (EST)
I think most people simply ignored you because there isn't much to say. Trivia does not necessarily need to be exhaustive, and the Rayman and Fallout representation isn't very notable in this context. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss.   10:17, November 2, 2020 (EST)

Split the Minecraft section into their separate versions?Edit

I feel like it's necessary that the Minecraft section be split into Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Legacy Console Edition, considering how radically different the two editions were since Java Edition came before Legacy Console Edition. -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 14:05, December 23, 2020 (EST)

That's going to be a heavy agree from me. The amount of unique representation that the Console Edition gets certainly qualifies it for a separate section. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss.   09:22, June 11, 2021 (EDT)

A section for (the lack of) representation in Smash 4Edit

I want to get some opinions on making an "In Super Smash Bros. 4" section that briefly gives info about Mr. Kaplan's statement regarding Mojang's Smash negotiations going back to the 3DS / Wii U version timespan. Right now, that info is in the trivia section, but other universe pages, such as Banjo-Kazooie, have dedicated sections touching upon similar situations. I may be making too much of a big deal of this, it really would only be a few sentences long. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss.   09:14, June 11, 2021 (EDT)

I think a section like that would be fine. Aidan, the Ace Rurouni 11:48, June 11, 2021 (EDT)

My only hesitation here is that the timeframe of the initial negotiations doesn't necessarily mean it was for SSB4, as I believe we know that the team went pretty directly from working on SSB4's DLC into early work on Ultimate. In which case, the negotiations with Mojang may have been for potential inclusion in Ultimate's base roster. Unless it's on record that the original discussions were indeed for 4 somewhere and I missed it? Miles (talk) 12:24, June 11, 2021 (EDT)

That's a good point, I don't think we do have any solid indication of whether it was for Ultimate or 3DS / Wii U. However, Kappische did say "at least" five years (in late 2020), which means they had to have been in talks well before Smash 4's DLC cycle ended; to me, it doesn't seem like an unreasonable assumption, or in other words, SW:SPEC territory. I'll add the section now, and if anyone has new objections I'll update accordingly. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss.   09:08, June 13, 2021 (EDT)

macOS NameEdit

I'm pretty new to SmashWiki, but I've noticed a minor inconsistency I'd like to point out. Under the "Console/platform of origin" section of this page, the Mac platform is listed as macOS (it's current name). However, on the pages for Minecraft characters (such as Steve), it is listed as Apple Mac OS X (it's name until 2016). With this in mind, I'm wondering if this article should be updated with the older name, or if the other articles should be updated with the current name. --123VideoGamerNinja (talk) 03:21, October 19, 2021 (EDT)

It's supposed to be Apple Mac OS X but seems someone changed it and it went unnoticed. Has been corrected. --CanvasK (talk) 06:51, October 19, 2021 (EDT)
