Shouldn't this page be on the Mario (SSBB) page? Doc King (talk) 16:36, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

Don't really know. It certainly should stay like this (partially hidden) until it's complete (or as complete at it'll be without projectile data), but once it is, there are two options: put it on the Mario (SSBB) page, or leave it here and simply link to it from there (for example: "for hitbox visualisations, see this page"). I'm thinking we should link it, since the average player doesn't care too much about the exact size/positioning of the hitboxes (the moveset data is good enough for sweetspot locations and such), and just slapping it on the page as it is would look a bit cloggy. Yeah, it looks too big to be on Mario's page, so your right, we should just link this. Doc King (talk) 17:13, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

Alright, does anyone have any opinions on this how it is before it gets linked to? Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png The Table Designer 14:50, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Mario (SSB)/Hitboxes

I would want to make a this page real. Is it OK? Support or Oppose if you would like. ShupaRoehTypicalGuy.png 13:06, 20 June 2012 (EDT)

If you can make a hitbox page for Mario (SSB) in the same vein as this, then by all means give it a crack. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatumA transparent image of Swadloon for my sig. 13:18, 20 June 2012 (EDT)

For Melee it's rather trivial to get hitbox images because of the debug mode, while for Brawl the data is documented well-enough that it's easy if tedious to manually draw hitboxes on snapshots. On the other hand, while SSB64 has hitbox visualizations available, the hacks to enable them are unstable and well-hidden, and the data format knowledge is too far in its infancy to draw the hiboxes manually. It's possible, but it's not high on the priority list. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Breegull 18:25, 20 June 2012 (EDT)

I'll try to make cubic hitboxes into spheres. ShupaRoehTypicalGuy.png 18:59, 20 June 2012 (EDT)
Not only would that be pointless, it would be wrong. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Zesty 19:01, 20 June 2012 (EDT)
You got Brawl hitboxes, so why not 64? ShupaRoehTypicalGuy.png 19:26, 20 June 2012 (EDT)

Template

I think it would be a nice idea to put a messagebox template on top of these hitbox pages, instead of writing one out on every repository. It should be like this:

{| class="messagebox" style="background:#EFEFEF;border:solid #7F7F7F 2px;text-align:center;"
|-
|width="50px"|[[Image:Hitbox Article.png|50px]]
|'''This is a hitbox repository.''' {{#if:incomplete=y|It is currently incomplete.}}
|width="50px"|[[Image:Hitbox Article.png|50px]]
|-
|colspan="3"|Click on any image to view full size.
|}<noinclude>

This template is to be used as a header for hitbox repositories.

</noinclude>

Would that be OK? Qwerty (talk) 15:57, 4 August 2014 (EDT)
