Issues with the Merge

Um... yeah. Why are so many articles about random Smash players? It makes no sense. Most of them don't even seen to be users here. Max2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Max2 (talkcontribs) 22:19, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

See Forum:Smasher namespace.--Richard 20:15, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

What?

Whatever happened to the main page, I prefer the old one. Please, someone revert it. --Misken67 06:48, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

I merged the Smashwiki and the SSBW pages together. I based this off of Wikipedia's front page. --Sky (t | c | w) 07:06, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
i think it looks great Alexander Vince 07:12, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

now it does. good job! (Something weired happened for a while back then. I saw the error in the coding, but wasn't able to figure out how to fix it. --Misken67 02:06, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Countdown

By the way, the countdown is based on the user's time, not the time until it's released in North America. It's claiming that it's going to be released at midnight GMT, which is five hours before it becomes midnight on America's East coast. Some people need reminding that America != the world.--Holizz 23:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Seeing as it's a message pertinent to North America only, I don't see a real issue with that. Not to mention the fact, we can take out the javascript part in 8.5 hours. :) --Sky (t | c | w) 23:37, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Merging the Subspace enemies into one page

I decided to post this here, where people might see it, so sorry if it's in the wrong place.

Anyways, I was going through the separate articles for all the Subspace enemies and noticed that, save a few that might have a picture or something similar, they are all pretty much their couple sentence long trophy descriptions. This seems a bit wasteful, and I say that they should all be merged into one, albeit long, article.

But that's just me. (Mario66 06:44, 16 March 2008 (UTC))

I disagree. If we can get some description of the attacks themselves, and some pictures of the enemies up, they could each warrant their own articles.

(CourtJackal 07:00, 16 March 2008 (UTC))

I disagree about merging the Subspace enemy articles into one article as each enemy has their own trophy, therefore they warrant their own article. I however believe that the articles for the enemies need a massive cleanup. Skimming through all of the enemy pages, I noticed that more than half of the articles use "you" or articles like Glice are written in sort of a "personal" tone. I will start fixing up some the articles when I have a chance. The Magnum Master 18:51, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
A bit late to the here, but following this logic, everything with a trophy deserves it's own article. The descriptions aren't even that long. It'd probably take maybe two sentences or so to describe their attacks, too. I still say they should all just be merged into one, neat, article. (Mario66 19:48, 8 April 2008 (UTC))
Well, now that most of the Subspace Enemies articles have been expanded and fixed up, I don't think its necessary to merge them into one article. -- The Magnum Master 20:20, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

What Links Here

When ever I click on What links here it goes here regardless of the page I'm on. How do I fixed this? 74.192.146.223 22:21, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Are you using the Monaco skin? It's been reported, see Problem Report 7716 Main Page [bug] Logan 11:54, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

FA

Golden Sun wikia adds onto its news when its Wikipedia equivalent was promoted to FA status. Should the same be done here, since Super Smash Bros. Melee on wikipedia was just yesterday promoted to Featured Article? --Misken67 23:28, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Feel free to! Template:News has what you need. --Sky (t · c · w) 23:33, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Pokémon Genders

How do we know that Pichu, Pikachu, Lucario, Ivysaur, Charizard, Squirtle, and Mewtwo are all boys, and that Jigglypuff is a girl? The articles state their genders as fact, but shouldn't they say "it"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pokemoneinstein (talkcontribs) 17:16, 22 March 2008

No, we don't know them for fact. --Sky (t · c · w) 02:51, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
well then,, i'm going to change all of the genders in the Pokemom articles to "it". Pokemoneinstein 14:08, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Jiggly is definatly a girl, though. Unless... let's not go there. User:Max2/Sig She's a girl, k? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Max2 (talkcontribs) 16:23, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Jiggly puff correct me if im wrong since I havent played melee in a while wears a bow as one of her costumes. Boys dont wear bows on there heads. And lucario talks in a male voice. I think thats enough to suggest hes male. Same with mewtwo. He groans in a somewhat male voice. Fwooshlewooshle 16:32, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

so what? just because you sound masculine doesnt mean you are, and for the bow, it could still be a boy. jigglypuff could just be a gay boy, or just a very wierd one. my point is, all of them should becalled "it." Pokemoneinstein 00:53, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes, i agree totally with you Pokemoneinstein (btw nice name, haha). We should refer to pokemon as "it" not as she or he becuase we can't be sure of the sex of the pokemon, at least not in this game - Kaz (TalkContributions ) 00:58, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanx. (about the name and the idea) mif you want, you could help me with the project. howbout i do jiggz, pika, and pokemon trainer pokemon, and you can do lucario, and mewtwo. (if u want) Pokemoneinstein 23:26, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

nvm. only PT is left. i got it. Pokemoneinstein 13:05, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
i finished editing the Pokemon genders to "it." Pokemoneinstein 01:02, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Jigglypuff's definitely not recognized as either male or female. It's description in the original game uses "it"s rather than "he"s or "she"s to describe it. Also, Mewtwo is explicitly genderless as every Pokemon game from the Gold and Silver versions onwards does not display a gender symbol next to its name when encountered in battle or viewed from the player's party. Regardless the Pokemon should still be written off as "it"s in their own articles, but the idea is that in the case of Jigglypuff and Mewtwo, one is specifically mentioned as "it", and the other is literally genderless. Pokémon Stadium 2 Location

I think that it is in Johto, because thats where the game [Pokémon Stadium 2] takes place, but everywhere says that its in Kanto. (i put this here because there was no talk for pokemon stadium 2) Pokemoneinstein 23:29, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Poké Floats allegedly takes place above Kanto, yet it appears in none of the games. It features Johto region Pokémon as well. It doesn't really matter where the stadiums take place, as they are generic (as opposed to, say, "Pewter City Gym"). There are probably several identical stadiums throughout the Pokémon universe. Dtm142 23:45, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Stadiums like that are seen ocasionally in the anime. (But not the deep void surrounding it). Usually it was in the first season and isn't shown muich anymore.~CrystalCrystallucario.JPGLucario~ ~Guardian of aura~ ~Protector of the Sacred Crystals~ 12:36, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

well, i think that its most likely in johto. should i go ahead and change that? Pokemoneinstein 17:28, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

1: It's Skies, not Skys
2: Yes it does. Pokemoneinstein 17:31, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

No Really. Thats why it only says Poke Floats, Kanto Skies! Zmario 17:31, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

According to Wikipedia a lot of the information on Smashwiki is wrong, which is why they won't link to you in the external links of their articles about the Smashbos. series.
