Exclusive Taunts

I've played both versions enough to know this is false, if their is any evidence that this is true, than please! I've run into the TURN-TO-BLUE Ghost on the Wii-U version before, several times in fact! I'd know, PAC-MAN's my third main!Nintenzilla (talk) 12:56, 5 May 2015 (EDT)

Would you mind trying to get a picture of TURN-TO-BLUE on the Wii U version? This is just a big claim that needs evidence, and we want to make sure no one is misremembering. Nyargleblargle (Talk) 13:00, 5 May 2015 (EDT)

I've been banned because I was trying to stop the director of Meme Run from making more garbage on Wii U. But can you really blame me?Nintenzilla (talk) 15:37, 5 May 2015 (EDT)

(reset indent) You can also pause the game, go on Internet Browser via the HOME Menu, and upload an image of the currently-paused game. Just choose "Upload file". Nyargleblargle (Talk) 15:50, 5 May 2015 (EDT)

Marth's taunt

I read through the Japanese taunts before, and noticed that Marth's taunt said みんな、みていてくれ。 Shouldn't it rather be みんな、見ていてくれ? Obviously you can write it in Hiragana, but since Roy's taunt uses Kanji, why are we not using Kanji for Marth? —Preceding unsigned comment added by JacobARF (talkcontribs) 22:06, June 30, 2015 (CDT)

Namco Roulette

Should we bother trying to get screenshots of all the possible cameos or is that excessive? Miles (talk) 13:59, 16 July 2015 (EDT)

I believe it's a tad excessive, although we may want to link the source sprites, like with the alternate costumes. Nyargleblargle (Talk) 14:07, 16 July 2015 (EDT)

Taunt Gifs

I can work on adding animated gifs of each taunt, but that would be 174 gifs embedded in one page. Even if I limited my quality to under 1MB apiece it wouldn't be fun to load. Can I embed Gfycat divs set to data-autoplay=false so visitors can view them on demand? Here is an example I made with all 3 of Mario's taunts (I would split them into 3 Gfycats if approved): https://gfycat.com/CompassionateSmallBengaltiger TacTac (talk) 22:10, 24 September 2016 (EDT)

Gif resolution and fps

Seeing that there are still a lot of gifs missing, I've gone and recorded taunts for everyone. Only issue now is I need to know the resolution and framerate before processing 180 files. Melee has 640x744 at 30 fps, Brawl has 480x270 at 16-ish fps, Ultimate has 600x338 at 25 fps. If someone has a suggestion what format should be used please let me know. If not I'll pick something and go with it. --CanvasK (talk) 12:13, January 3, 2021 (EST)

Bump. Planning on working on this tomorrow. I think 480x270 will be sufficient for size, unsure about the framerate. I tested with 50 fps (max practically allowed for gifs) and got 2.11 MB, at 30 fps I got 1.44 MB; <3 MB should be possible for most at 30 (except maybe Bayo). --CanvasK (talk) 13:48, January 8, 2021 (EST)
I'm almost done rendering everything (underestimated the amount of manual tweaking) and I only have the Miis left. The issue is I didn't use the modified Miis and went with the closest guest Mii. Given everything else uses the modified Miis I'm reluctant to upload them until I can correct them, which should be this Thursday. Personally I see 3 options: 1) Hold off on uploading anything until the Miis are corrected; 2) Upload everything except the Miis and use the template params to use the stills until corrections; 3) Upload everything and have incorrect Miis until corrections. --CanvasK (talk) 17:09, January 11, 2021 (EST)
