If I may

I was gonna edit it in, but I wanted to make sure that you were ok with it; the sword used by the Mii Swordfighters in the SSB T-shirt costume bares an incoincidental resemblance to the Beam Sword, in my opinion. I must admit I don't see it. The Beam Sword never had a multi-colored blade like that, and the hilt is quite different too. Miles (talk) 19:05, 7 October 2015 (EDT)

I agree with Aidan here, it definitely bears resemblance. Also, think about it. The Beam sword is an original SSB creation. Couple that with how the costume is SSB-themed. I wouldn't call it THE Beam Sword but a beam sword that resembles the Beam Sword. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 19:38, 7 October 2015 (EDT)

Pics of swords from original game

I would very much prefer if we could get images of swords from their source games rather than Smash if possible. I went looking for these and this is what I found. Feel free to decide wether to use these or not. I listed them in order of how they appear on this page

I don't think we should definitely use source game, but I do think it should be consistent. Right now we have some with Smash pics, some with source pics. We should have either Smash pics, or source pics. Or both, but all of them would get two images then. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by BOO! Or maybe Nutta. 12:15, 8 October 2015 (EDT)
It was just a suggestion. I just don't really like having the character artwork, as this page is more about the weapons than the character wielding them. That is why I am okay with the sword I picked for Ike. Although it is from a Smash game, it is just the sword, not Ike. For consistency, I made a new list of potential images. I personally think we should use original artwork, as 1. It is easier to find the weapon by itself online 2. closely resembles the Smash weapon anyways and 3. Doesn't have the character using it, which looks out of place at times. Here is my new choices, and I changed some of them.

  • The Master Sword should have artwork both from Wind Waker and Twilight Paincess, for both Toon Link and Link
  • Ganondorf's Sword of the Sages from Twilight Princess
  • Young Link's Kokiri Sword from Oot, as it more closely resembles sword in Melee than the sword in Majora. I couldn't find it from the remake though
  • Yes, I know, the wiki is in Spanish. From what I know of the language, this is the Galaxia from Kirby:Mass Attack. I couldn't find anything at all in the abomination called WiKirby
  • Lucina's Parallel Falchion because it varies from Marth's Falchion in slight ways
  • The best image I could find on FE wiki, the Ragnell by itself from Brawl. Should I do a generic online search for this?
  • The Levin Sword. I couldn't find any good pics of it on our wiki, found this with search.
  • This is the only Non-Smash image of the Bronze Sword I could find. Even a generic search didn't turn up any good results
  • This image of the Monado is amazing. Just rotate so it can fit in less space.
  • For the Mii Fighters, can we try to get one pic with multiple Fighter swords. I think that would be better for variety than just one type of blade.
  • I can still get images of the other, more minor, blades if necessary.

I should be clear: I only used source game artwork for the two I did because those images were already uploaded. I would rather replace them with clear shots of the swords in Smash than add a ton of source game artwork. I did a lot of interwiki linking to avoid stuff like that, frankly. Galaxia

Here's an image of Galaxia from the anime: from Wikirby. Do you think it's appropriate for the article? It is mentioned in the section as the source material for the name of the sword. The Galaxia Darkness trophy could also work: [1] LightningBlueFrom Bulbapedia 16:37, 12 October 2015 (EDT)

Hey uh...

Since this is, you know, a list of all the swords found in Smash, do you think we could add the swords found on certain spirits? JustSomeCloudMain (talk) 23:27, June 29, 2020 (EDT)

All of the swords listed are used by playable characters and are used in their moves to some extent. So no, because a spirit's sword has no affect on the game. Unless you also want to suggest every trophy and sticker that have swords. --CanvasK (talk) 23:42, June 29, 2020 (EDT)
