Just as a note, the playlist I cited has not yet had the corresponding videos that I got my information from on it yet but they are on the same channel. Feel free to remove this comment once WRTP adds those videos to the playlist. Also, since I do not know how to make citations, I left the source in the article history edit summary.

I may look into those videos for any other info, maybe get some screenshots if I can. As a side note, SW:TALK forbids removing comments (with a few exceptions), so that statement about removing once they add to the playlist is kinda unnecessary. Thanks for helping, though! To call more attention to the addenda on the bottom, should we put * and ** next to the names of challenges they apply to? --68.227.174.148 15:10, 4 January 2015 (EST)

300,000 gEdit

Does that mean you have to have 300,000 all at once, or does it count how much you earn over time? 71.226.144.42 09:05, 19 January 2015 (EST)

I did it. it's all at once. my suggestion: play lots of Spectate, and always shoot the moon (max money on highest multiplier, always bet winnings on the next match in the same way.) --68.227.174.148 20:00, 23 January 2015 (EST)

Issue with seeing all final smashesEdit

So I looked up whose final smashes I had not done, and found out all I had left was DK. To try to get it over with, we played a special smash with Smash balls the only item, at max frequency. We pulled it off. We were not credited for doing it. Went back into records, and it had not recorded the smash. We later did a regular match, and in that case it counted. Other than special smashes, I don't know what 'counts' though. --68.227.174.148 20:03, 23 January 2015 (EST)

Special matches rarely count for anything, so it's not exactly a surprise. That said we could add on the special mode page that nothing done there counts for challenges. Toomai Glittershine   The Non-Toxic 21:21, 23 January 2015 (EST)
Not completely related, but I can confirm that just triggering them in Training Mode counts while I'm pretty sure having them used by CPUs in any context doesn't. --Menshay (talk) 05:44, 31 January 2015 (EST)

When I was trying to get that challenge, I already completed The Big 7650!, so I skipped Pac-Man and used all other Final Smashes in Training Mode, but I didn't get the reward until I did it with Pac-Man too, so Events don't count either. 84.26.240.80 10:14, 31 January 2015 (EST)

Table layoutEdit

On most monitors, the table is too wide and goes off the right side of the screen. The last edit that tried to fix it was counterproductive in that the table layout was no longer clearly related to the one in the game, but maybe we should split it into two sections horizontally, similar to how List of challenges (SSBB) is split into 4 sections? —Fenhl 14:33, 10 October 2015 (EDT)

Done. —Fenhl 01:29, 8 November 2015 (EST)
This has been reverted by User:Miles of SmashWiki (“don't do this without a talk page discussion please”). See User talk:Miles of SmashWiki#List of challenges (SSB4-Wii U). —Fenhl 01:37, 8 November 2015 (EST)

I thoroughly oppose the idea of splitting the table, as it makes it much less clearly navigable. Unlike the Brawl table, which is much more horizontal than vertical, the Wii U table is mostly vertical and thus doesn't spill over to the side enough to make splitting it worthwhile. Miles (talk) 02:18, 8 November 2015 (EST)

I agree. On my screen, it doesn't spill out over the screen at 25%, and everything is very clearly visible. (Sarcasm over)121.127.214.111 03:49, 28 May 2016 (EDT)
On a 1440 x 900 monitor, 20% of the content spills over. If you're going to argue about whether or not it's worthwhile, you're going to have to propose some sort of threshold about what's enough to justify splitting a table. MegaTron1  03:54, 28 May 2016 (EDT)

Really, it feels like this could be solved if the code supported having a horizontal scroll bar in situations like this. Why doesn't it already do that automatically like 90% of the rest of the Internet? (I'm sure there's something that resembles an actual reason if you squint) 198.84.216.30 22:54, 3 November 2017 (EDT)

That's not a bad idea. I'll put it in. (It's not automatic because scrolling tables are normally a sign of bad design.) Toomai Glittershine   The Yoshi 09:25, 4 November 2017 (EDT)

Equipment CounterexampleEdit

Now, do we have actual code-level proof that getting, say, a Critical Hitter Sword, requires Amiibo or the challenge wall to unlock? Because "my" WiiU (the one I play on that doesn't actually belong to me and is in fact halfway across my hometown) has one of those, hasn't cleared Classic above 8.0 (and only did 8.0 itself with Mii Gunner which I know because I did that personally and the "8.0 with two characters" isn't unlocked) and while there are people who use Amiibo at that place, it's +20/-40 which is powerful enough that it feels unlikely to have dropped from such. Furthermore, with the Unlockables page not listing this stuff I'm inclined to believe that this isn't a thing at all. --24.212.154.197 08:42, 10 April 2018 (EDT)
