First always 9?[edit]

I don't know if it's just me, but 95% of the times I Game and Watch for the first time after turning on the console, his first Judge will result in a 9. Example: I turn the console on, play some matches, and after a while choose GaW. In the match, the very first Judge is a 9. I don't think this is just a coincidence. Case this happens to others as well, would it be worth putting up in the article? {EspyoT} 00:17, February 28, 2010 (UTC)

Uh something must be wrong with your console or you're confusing 9 with 5. It has been said, however, that whenever G&W uses Judge after a while of not using it and when he has a high damage percentage, it will more likely than not be 9. Blue Ninjakoopa 01:00, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
Unless it has rigorously proven evidence, no way. Miles (talk) 01:31, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
Really? I thought this happened with everyone! It's actually quite constant. Damn. I'm going to try yet again. I'll turn the game on in a minute (Brawl, BTW, but also happened in Melee), choose GaW and try to unleash a Judge. {EspyoT} 15:10, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
Results: 7, 5, 6. Bah, it's not working now. It seems to be a bit more constant when in single player. I know it happens a lot, because every time I pick GaW for the first time, I think to my self: "Here comes a 9..." and wham! Exactly a 9. Though most of the time I never hit with it. This sure is a small mystery... {EspyoT} 15:28, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
I often get a 9 on my first shot as well, and I have seen several G&W mains get 9 as their first on a regular basis as well. I think this should be looked into, we should have concrete evidence with hacking right? GrimTuesday (talk) 13:02, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

From what I hear, the chance of getting any number is always exactly 1/7 (you cannot get a number you got two tries ago, with 2 and 1 being the "previous two" at the start of a match). Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png 13:12, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Judge Reworked for SSB4[edit]

I'm not a major presence in the Smash Bros. Community or here, but I play a lot on my own, and use this wiki as a resource. Anyway, for SSB4-3DS, I have noticed that, on occasion, Mr. Game and Watch can get the same number with Judge multiple times in a row. I think it would be beneficial for someone who has more knowledge of game mechanics to look into this, and update the main page accordingly. 108.67.95.241 23:40, 17 October 2014 (EDT)

I've had it happen, too. Once got three 9s in a row. I wonder if it will remain like this in the Wii U version. 96.51.112.221 14:58, 1 November 2014 (EDT)

9 Effect[edit]

So supposedly the 9 in SSB4 doesn't use the Paralysis *effect*. I'm not saying it paralyzes FIGHTERS, but instead uses the effect, the yellow ring thing. Is this it? Kirby's Crazy Appetite ~ I'm just uploading this for him. 15:32, 28 October 2016 (EDT)

You're thinking of freeze frames. AidanzapunkSig1.pngAidan, the Spooky Dragon WarriorAidanzapunkSig2.png 17:26, 28 October 2016 (EDT)
I suppose that makes sense...? Kirby's Crazy Appetite ~ I'm just uploading this for him. 17:32, 28 October 2016 (EDT)
Freeze frames ≠ paralyze. AidanzapunkSig1.pngAidan, the Spooky Dragon WarriorAidanzapunkSig2.png 17:38, 28 October 2016 (EDT)

Last 2 numbers stored[edit]

On the main page and several other sources I've heard people say that the last 2 numbers are stored and will not come up but I've got the same number twice in a row on several occasions. I think dying either makes the stack blank or resets it to 1 and 2 as the stored numbers. I'll try and get some footage of this happening. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.23.126.237 (talkcontribs) 16:48, 13 March 2018
