Move[edit]

The naming convention on this page is super odd. I don’t know how to explain it, but we don’t name other similar moves “and” (like Peach Bomber and Daisy Bomber). Lou Cena (talk) 19:47, June 15, 2019 (EDT)

Support on this one. Title is pretty clunky. SerpentKing 19:31, June 16, 2019 (EDT)
Many moves have been separated due to having different names, much like Gale Boomerang. Couldn't they have their own pages? Wolff (talk) 21:50, June 17, 2019 (EDT)
This is different. This is more of a Peach Bomber/Daisy Bomber situation. Plus, this is just a grab, so the content on the page is going to be barren if they’re split. Not everything should be split based on a name basis, as we discussed on the forum. Lou Cena (talk) 22:07, June 17, 2019 (EDT)
I thought the differing info on both the shots were enough to warrant their own pages? Wolff (talk) 22:33, June 17, 2019 (EDT)
When the only difference is that one is faster, I’d rather not split it. Lou Cena (talk) 00:08, June 18, 2019 (EDT)
But that's not the only difference listed. If it was, the Clawshot section would have been a whole lot shorter then the Hookshot's. Wolff (talk) 00:18, June 18, 2019 (EDT)
The differences added to the Clawshot were a universal change; they also apply to Toon Link and Young Link's Hookshots, and the auto-lock property was added to other tether moves like Samus's grapple beam, so it's not super distinguishable as a move, I don't think. DryKirby64 (talk) 00:38, June 18, 2019 (EDT)
Really? Then is there any info that only applies to the Clawshot has and not the Hookshot? Wolff (talk) 01:43, June 18, 2019 (EDT)
Not that I can think of, if we count all of the Links together. DryKirby64 (talk) 18:40, June 18, 2019 (EDT)
Even if the two stay as one, I think it needs to be rewritten a little. I am having a hard time seeing between the differences and similarities. Wolff (talk) 19:22, June 18, 2019 (EDT)

Three people (one a crat) agree to split this, and one opposes it. If anybody else has an opinion, speak now. Lou Cena (talk) 16:30, June 28, 2019 (EDT)

Support moving to Hookshot. It's a similar case to Daisy Bomber in my opinion, the two moves are identical in function. Rdrfc (talk) 04:49, July 1, 2019 (EDT)

Since a move for Poltergust G-00 just failed, I want to ask if this one should also use a generic name (aka just Hookshot), or if we should just keep this title like it currently is. Lou Cena (talk) 21:06, July 11, 2019 (EDT)

I don't see what about that whole thing means it failed. Someone moved it to the wrong name, and it was moved back to the name that existed before, and the move discussion is still happening.
That aside, this is the same situation as the Poltergust, where it's the same attack, just with a different item (rather than being renamed, like the Fire Bow) - with that being said, I believe "Hookshot" should take priority over "Clawshot", despite the latter being most recently used by the Link; the Hookshot is used by both Young and Toon, both of whom are present in Ultimate, actively using the item. A mention of the Clawshot would therefore be warranted. Aidan, the Rurouni 21:57, July 11, 2019 (EDT)

Hookshot Cloawshot is just a different model for the same thing. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Glow 22:04, July 11, 2019 (EDT)

I would move it, but there's one problem: there's already a hookshot page. it's a redirect. --MarthHeadRedSSBMythfhgghf.png Thomasgamer4000 still has no DLC 12:43, October 7, 2019 (EDT)
