I think we should merge this with bow, it just moves faster and has a different name, fire bow has more differences, and its on the same page Dr.Savage (talk) 02:49, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

I disagree for the same reasons as Gale Boomerang. Miles (talk - contribs) 23:27, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Same here. Im Alex25, King of Randomness! Say Hi to me! Random stuff! 23:41, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

I think it should be the other way around. Bow should be merged into this. Hero's Bow is the name of Links' AND Toon Link's(check the Dojo) in Brawl, and the only difference from this page and bow is some of the details and Fire Bow. Just make Fire bow a subsection and say Hero's Bow was previously called Bow in Melee and SSB64.Smorekingxg456 17:56, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Fire BowEdit

Is this the official name of this move / weapon? -Because I'm pretty sure it isn't canon.... Zixor (talk) 02:02, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Fixed your spelling, and the official names of Melee special moves are found on their characters' Adventure/All-Star trophies. Cheers. Miles (talk) 02:17, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Fire Bow #2Edit

Is it worth mentioning that Young Link couldn't even use Fire arrows in Ocarina of Time? Shanicpower  Make it rain! 11:36, 22 November 2012 (EST)

Please read the Origin section :) Toast  ltimatum  11:38, 22 November 2012 (EST)

SplitEdit

Support per MuteSpittah's criteria, and also the fact that the current handling of this is far too brief IMO.  Nyargleblargle (Contribs) 15:19, 24 April 2016 (EDT)

Yeah, YL's Fire Bow (with mention of the TL custom) should be its own page, whereas the OoT/TP Bow move can remain here. Miles (talk) 15:29, 24 April 2016 (EDT)

I would agree too despite Fire Bow's section being not much to talk about. Dots (talk)   The Gold 16:10, 24 April 2016 (EDT)

I also agree, though the big problem I see is the section being so short. Looking at Nyargle's draft though, I could see it working out. Disaster Flare   (talk) 22:54, 24 April 2016 (EDT)

I'm the tagger, so obviously I support. MuteSpittah (talk) 07:26, 25 April 2016 (EDT)

Support  Poultry (talk) the God-Slayer 14:29, 25 April 2016 (EDT)
If the section is expanded upon to be longer and more in-depth, then I support. CpnFlacon (talk) 10:10, 27 April 2016 (EDT)
Support for consistency. John   PK SMAAAASH!! 15:19, 28 April 2016 (EDT)

Categories won't show up.Edit

Despite the added categories, they won't show up. Either the school computer that I'm using isn't updated or there's a problem holding this page from showing the categories. Dots (talk)   The Mr. Saturn 09:38, 11 May 2016 (EDT)

MoveEdit

The attack was named "Bow" in the original and Melee. Hero's Bow now only applies to Toon Link thanks to the Traveler's Bow in Ultimate. Bow is the most simple, generic name.

Reading the above split section, I think I'll save discussion on a potential merge with Fire Bow for after this discussion is over. TheNuttyOne 21:09, 6 July 2018 (EDT)

Support Eh, makes sense. I'm normally an advocate of sticking to the status quo, but given how strong the variance of bow moves there are, this is something that probably needs attention. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the internets go! :3 21:14, 6 July 2018 (EDT)

Split instead of move. All three Links have bow moves in Ultimate with distinct names and gameplay characteristics and they probably shouldn't get lumped together anymore. Miles (talk) 17:53, 11 July 2018 (EDT)

Split ^ Serpent   King 19:55, 12 July 2018 (EDT)
I don't see why a split is necessary -- it seems to me that the pages would be basically identical --, but I don't have a problem with it if that's what the majority of people want. So weak agree. TheNuttyOne 20:23, 12 July 2018 (EDT)
Split Per Miles.   George Jones   11:39, 17 July 2018 (EDT)
Split As per Miles. VoqéoT 11:45, 17 July 2018 (EDT)
Split Also as per Miles.  Speed48 23:19, 27 July 2018 (EDT)
Split. Yeah, I mean Young Link has Fire Bow and that has its own article. MHStarCraft   21:39, 31 July 2018 (EDT)
Split Should be split, each bow acts differently. Would also make the pages more clean. Dakota 952 00:10, 4 August 2018 (EDT)
Split agreeing with the above arguments. Ponyshment   11:44, 19 September 2018 (EDT)
Split. I was going to bring this up but I was afraid it was going to get shot down lol. But if Fox and Falco's blasters can have separate pages there's no reason why this should be any different. John   HUAH! 13:28, 19 September 2018 (EDT)

Bump. If/when this gets split, I assume we're going to make separate pages for the Fire Bow and Traveler's Bow. But will we divide the Bow and the Hero's Bow too, or are those pretty much just name differences a la Hammer vs. Hammer Flip? John   HUAH! 15:17, 30 September 2018 (EDT)

This split proposal has been dragging on for over three months, the consensus says for the split. I think this split proposal needs to be closed.   Corrin Fan   07:26, 9 October 2018 (EDT)

Discussion has been going on for almost 4 months. Going to bump this. MHStarCraft   22:37, 26 October 2018 (EDT)

I support the split, which certainly seems to have consensus. But in the meantime, I created Traveler's Bow as a redirect to Hero's Bow. SuperFalconBros (talk) 15:42, 9 November 2018 (EST)

If no one has anything else to say, I'm going to formally create the page in a day or so. John   HUAH! 00:29, 11 November 2018 (EST)
