Lose ProgressEdit

If a game crashes, do you lose all saved data. (Smashworker101 (talk) 20:04, 16 November 2014 (EST))

Depends on how severe it is. In most cases, no, but if it's really severe, yes, it can happen. Rtzxy   Reflect! 20:06, 16 November 2014 (EST)

Is the one with the Smart Bombs and Sandbags really severe? (Smashworker101 (talk) 20:27, 16 November 2014 (EST))

That's the thing: you don't know how severe a game crash is until you restart the game. If you still have game data, the crash is not severe. If game data is lost, it's severe. To answer your question, I wouldn't know about those, but they don't seem too severe. Rtzxy   Reflect! 20:31, 16 November 2014 (EST)

I'll go find out for myself if its severe, even though I was testing it, but quit so early because I don't want the game to crash. Wish me luck. (Smashworker101 (talk) 20:37, 16 November 2014 (EST))

OK. It shouldn't be too severe, though. Rtzxy   Reflect! 20:39, 16 November 2014 (EST)

I did it, & I didn't lose progress. To be honest, it was fun. I feel like I want to do it again. Maybe this is probably a way to crash the game in Smash 4. (Smashworker101 (talk) 20:59, 16 November 2014 (EST))

Crash method in BrawlEdit

You can crash Brawl if you have two Lucarios at 300% on the same team charging their Aura Spheres right next to each other. Have another teammate throw Hotheads into their Aura Spheres. After a few Hotheads, especially big ones, are thrown in, the screen will start to shake violently. I've personally seen this being capable of crashing the game before. Does it warrant mention on this page? John   PK SMAAAASH!! 11:55, 19 April 2016 (EDT)

I think so, but let's wait for others before adding this in. Penro    23:07, 27 April 2016 (EDT)

Piranha plantEdit

I have a SanDisk Ultra plus 32gb micro SD card and I scared to buy piranha plant because it might corrupt ultimate, So am I safe if this card can't be effected by this crash AgedofallStrings (talk) 15:03, February 25, 2021 (EST)

Seriously read SW:TALK this the third time in this week you violated it. Superbound (talk) 15:07, February 25, 2021 (EST)
In case this gets brought up again, the referenced thread had about five users encounter the corruption issue and they all used a "Samsung 256GB 100MB/s MicroSDXC EVO Select". Someone also linked a Homebrew GitHub page where someone mentioned that corruption can happen when using exFAT file systems (which is the standard for SD cards over 32GB) due to a bug in the Switch's exFAT driver. --CanvasK (talk) 15:50, February 25, 2021 (EST)

Stage select crashEdit

I was looking in the SSBU section, when I noticed there were no mentions of the stage select crash being patched out. Can someone try replicating this glitch for me and share the results? I’ll edit the article accordingly if the glitch was patched. Jordan P., the Sora main   04:13, June 25, 2023 (EDT)

Can't replicate on the latest patch. --CanvasK (talk) 10:21, June 25, 2023 (EDT)
