I'm no SSB player, but I think what happens is, shine stops the player's upward movement in midair, and then falling to the ground cancels the shine (you can hold the reflector in mid-air, but it stops when you hit the ground). MaskedMarth (t c) 03:19, January 21, 2007 (GMT)
I was more wondering about when exactly the shine needs to be performed. Sometimes it appears to have worked (as in, there's the sound effect and the puff of smoke), but there's no stun/knockback/damage (which I hypothesized to happen because he needs to leave the ground or something like that). --Greenblob 04:53, January 21, 2007 (GMT)
