How do you go from using Fly into a Glide. Please explain —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.197.66.113 (talkcontribs) 03:12, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

I don't think you can. If it doesn't make you helpless, you could use Fly, then jump into a glide, but I don't think fly itself can become a glide.–Entrea Sumatae 03:35, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
No, Fly makes you Helpless. You really can't glide out of it.–Entrea Sumatae 03:36, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
I did it the other way around by attacking during my glide and quickly pressing up-b.Drakon64 CharizardHeadSSBB.png 09:37, 8 January 2012 (EST)

Fly is a "good recovery"Edit

The trivia about Fly being a bad recovery should be removed because it is too subjective. Fly may not be an excellent recovery, but is Dark Dive any better? The instruction book stated that Fly was good for recoveries, and it is--because Charizard doesn't have another way to recover besides his midair jumps and glide. Where does it state that Fly is a good recovery? Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 02:35, 7 January 2012 (EST)

Dark Dive isn't in the instruction booklet, so bringing that up is pointless. Also, being good for recoveries is a stretch, as this would mean it's above adverage in recovery terms of Charizard. It isn't impossible for these people to make mistakes, as they said Corkscrew was an excellent recovery, which is false. Also I never said Fly was a good recovery. I said despite what was said in the instruction booklet, Charizard's recovery is poor. Where in that sentence did I say "Fly was a good recovery?Drakon64   02:53, 7 January 2012 (EST)

I fail to see how that was needed when you're saying the recovery is poor. The super armour frames lead to Charizard being able to resist edgeguarding attempts that require knocking him further away from the stage. The knockback in the move can knock enemies further away from you. Considering that Charizard lacks a way to not get edgeguarded easily if just using his jumps, does the move really become poor for recoveries? MegaTron1XD  10:22, 8 January 2012 (EST)
