SSB4 Explosives

Here's what I can think of:

  • Trick Shot*
  • Mechakoopa
  • Bombchu
  • X Bomb
  • Hocotate Bomb

*Eating this will not hurt King Dedede

That's all I got. Unowninator (talk) 12:08, 30 January 2016 (EST)

Diddy Kong's Peanut Popgun? Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 12:13, 30 January 2016 (EST)

Oh yeah, I forgot that explosives don't have to be items. Let's look through the custom moves:

  • Explosive Punch
  • Blast Burn
  • Wakie Wakie
  • Exploding Peanut Gun
  • Exploding Attack (Greninja's Down (B) #2)
  • Explosive Flame
  • Arcfire+
  • Fox Burst
  • Explosive Falcon Dive
  • Explosive Pikmin Pluck
  • Volatile Breathing
  • Timed Egg Throw
  • Dire Hydrant
  • Hyper Bomb
  • Danger Wrap
  • Grenade Launch
  • Stealth Burst
  • Bomb Drop

That's what I found. Unowninator (talk) 13:01, 30 January 2016 (EST)

Those should be all. And they all deal Fire damage, too. The only thing to consider before adding them is whether they have another type. If they do, they're not explosive. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 13:14, 30 January 2016 (EST)

Okay, how do we do that? (I can't hack) Unowninator (talk) 13:28, 30 January 2016 (EST)

Other than common sense? I'd assume the moves' files have those details, but I don't know how to read them. In general, it goes like that: Explosive Punch is Hand, Arcfire+ is energy, Hyper Bomb is explosive, etc. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 13:36, 30 January 2016 (EST)

Well how do we distinguish between the Fire & explosive attacks? Until now, I thought all explosives were fire, but if they can only be 1... Unowninator (talk) 13:40, 30 January 2016 (EST)

Attacks that make contact are definitely not explosive. Energy moves are also not explosive. So bomb-related moves, Wakie Wakie, Volatile Breathing and Timed Egg Throw have to be explosive. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 13:47, 30 January 2016 (EST)

What about the DLC characters and the DLC stages? GameCade (talk) 09:01, 20 May 2016 (EDT)

I don't know if stage hazard attacks have types (maybe effects as a leftover from type resistance in Brawl), but I'll look at the DLC characters on Master Core ASAP. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 09:56, 20 May 2016 (EDT)

No Mewtwo?

Some of his attacks are explosive, so how come he's not listed here? --Ryzmat 10:20, April 6, 2022 (EDT)

"Types" are a specific thing in the attack scripts that is used by equipment and spirits. If an attack doesn't have the "explosive" or "bomb" type in the attack script, it is not counted as an explosive for this page even if it looks like it. None of Mewtwo's attacks have those types. --CanvasK (talk) 10:26, April 6, 2022 (EDT)
