Support Obviously "Diddy" as a redirect to "Diddy Kong" should exist, but who's gonna type "Diddy (SSB4)" in the search bar, especially considering that the right page would come up as a suggestion after typing "Diddy"? There were two links to this but only because of infobox misuse.

Support, since a redirect of "Diddy" to "Diddy Kong" is sensible, but nobody is going to go to the trouble of typing out "(SSB4)" while pointlessly shortening the name of the character, especially since, as Zyrac said, the correct article will show up in the search bar before you can even get to the SSB4 part of it.

Now wait because there are a lot of cases like this (including Diddy (SSBB)). Examples: DK (SSB), Samus Aran (SSB), CF (SSB), CFalcon (SSB) (the falcon ones are actually ridiculous, gunna clean that up after writing this), Fox McCloud (SSB), etc. This is not an isolated thing. I oppose actually on grounds that I disagree that no one searches that way, and that it's too much trouble to delete all of these, for little to no gain. Serpent

Support per the above reasons, assuming other similar redirects are also hunted down and deleted. Even if it's plenty of work for no noticeable effect, it's unprofessional and unneeded all the same. BaconMaster

Oppose This redirect is realistically useable and the benefits of deletion are negligible. If Porplemontage is desperate for server space, CFalcon (SSB) is first on the chopping block. Toast

Oppose; it's outright "Diddy" on the Brawl CSS in Japan, so "Diddy (SSBB)" would be a desirable redirect for that reason, and therefore this is a sensible one for consistency. Miles (talk) 02:38, 2 June 2017 (EDT)
- Change to Oppose. Miles pointed out something I didn't realize about the Brawl CSS, and we would want consistency with redirects such as Lizardon (SSB4) and Pikmin & Olimar (SSB4).
