Final Smash

Where? Nutta Butta (talk) 11:26, 14 July 2014 (EDT)

Look closely in the trailer, probably towards the end. He joins Robin in the Final Smash. Berrenta (talk) 11:29, 14 July 2014 (EDT)

Should this be an article?

If the character only has one appearance, namely as a special move in one game, should it really have an article of its own? – Smiddle 03:27, 9 August 2014 (EDT)

Doc Louis is another trailer character with the same treatment, but gonna use a different argument here. Chrom's appearance in the Final Smash is pretty important, but his trailer appearance and Sakurai's discussion about him give him a solo article. His trailer appearance is pretty major because so many people expected him to appear in Smash, and Sakurai actually had to go out and confirm that Chrom was denied playable character status early on. He's important enough to deserve an article. MegaTron1XDDecepticon.png 04:27, 9 August 2014 (EDT)

Something interesting.

Sakurai said in an interview that Chrom was only considered, however through hacking it was revealed that Chrom may've at one point been playable, for one thing he has a very high polygon count for an npc, and hackers have been able to make him playble through hacking, as a skin for Marth and/or Ike. What's different about most character swap hacks though is that Chrom fits perfectly into Marth and Ike's skeletons (Minus the legs as it's a bug in the program) and Sakurai has gone on record to say that he had a moveset for Chrom that was in between Marth and Ike. Not to mention the large amount of fan outcry for him. So with all this information, is it possible that Chrom was indeed planned for the game? Nintenzilla (talk) 10:10, 14 October 2015 (EDT)

There's also an article about this on Sourcegaming. Nintenzilla (talk) 14:02, 14 October 2015 (EDT)
I've explained previously that I found SG's article on the subject highly speculative. Chrom's model skeleton most likely works because he is a similarly-proportioned humanoid character, not because of anything else. Miles (talk) 14:30, 14 October 2015 (EDT)
How about the fact that Sakurai went on record to say that Chrom was in between Marth and Ike? Not to mention his high polygon count does raise an eyebrow. Not to mention Chrom's model is slightly taller than Marth. Doesn't any of this raise an eyebrow? Nintenzilla (talk) 14:49, 14 October 2015 (EDT)
It does raise many eyebrows. It is a plausible guess that he was planned for the game, given the (not entirely complete) legitimacy of the Gematsu leak, and most importantly, Sakurai's word on the matter. He does not downright say whether Chrom was actually in the making, or just planned and eventually dropped. So it is mere speculation as we do not know with certainty the full story. "only Awakening protagonist not playable"

This is very obvious trivia, and falls into the category of "1/3" trivia which I generally prefer to remove for not being unique enough. If Awakening had 5 protagonists and Chrom were the only one not playable, that might be interesting enough. But one out of three doesn't cut it by my standards. Miles (talk) 13:03, 2 November 2015 (EST)

I can agree with that. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by BOO! Or maybe Nutta. 13:04, 2 November 2015 (EST)
Agreed. Disaster Flare (talk) 13:05, 2 November 2015 (EST)
Another perspective is that every unit is a protagonist, in which case Chrom wouldn't be the only one not playable. But yeah, not needed. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Talk | Contribs) 13:11, 2 November 2015 (EST)
Yeah, I can get down with that. Nintenzilla (talk) 15:34, 2 November 2015 (EST)

Ultimate Smash Bros. appearance

For some dumb reason, Ultimate is not showing up in the Smash Bros. appearances section of his info box. Is there a reason or is it just a glitch? SSB4DarkSonicHead.pngSpeed48 15:43, 19 September 2018 (EDT)

Fixed it. I'm not sure why this part of the infobox has to be edited from the template page itself but whatever. Ponyshment PonyshmentSignature.png 20:09, 19 September 2018 (EDT)
