Chronological OrderEdit

It seems that the All-Star Order in Brawl Seems to be going in the Chronological order of the series that the characters were released. If there is any confirmation on this, we could add it.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrono D. (talkcontribs)

WarioWareEdit

Just so you know, on the official website of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Sakurai stated that Wario's appearance in All-Star mode is based on his first main appearance in Wario Land 3. I think that should be stated.--Ma321 (talk) 11:49, 1 August 2014 (EDT)

New All-Star ModeEdit

Since Sakurai has confirmed that Smash 3DS would feature in chronological order of their first appearance, we could actually try to "predict" the final results of this and then edit it if it is disconfirmed in the final product. I'll try my hand at the beginning of it, though : (My version also uses the characters from previous Smash games, just in case)

Stages in the 3DS All-Star ModeEdit

I've been watching every video I can find of All-Star Mode playthroughs, and I've put together a list of which stages I've seen.

  • Stage 1 - Jungle Japes, Boxing Ring, Flat Zone 2 (I've also been told that Pac-Maze appears, but I haven't seen it myself)
  • Stage 2 - Golden Plains, Mushroomy Kingdom, Gerudo Valley, Brinstar
  • Stage 3 - Yoshi's Island, Mute City, Reset Bomb Forest, Wily Castle
  • Stage 4 - Dream Land, Corneria, WarioWare, Inc., Green Hill Zone
  • Stage 5 - Spirit Train, Unova Pokemon League, Magicant
  • Stage 6 - 3D Land, Distant Planet, Tortimer Island
  • Stage 7 - Rainbow Road, Prism Tower, Arena Ferox, Gaur Plain

Little Mac always a wireframe?Edit

Exclusive stage modificationsEdit

So I've noticed that there are some stages that behave differently only in All-Star Mode in SSB4-3DS, different to both the standard and Omega forms (even with items off). There are probably more, but here's what I've noticed:

Assist TrophiesEdit

So, by finding the Japanese direct, I noticed that Sakurai himself also mentions the Assist Trophies figuring in to All-Star. In spite of knowing little Japanese, my assumption based on this is that it was a cut feature, but I want to hear what the direct translation is from someone who happens to speak the language. While I'm not a Japanese-speaker, I believe the confusion stems from "all-star" as a general term versus "All-Star" as the name of a mode. Sakurai saying something to the effect of "Assist Figures are part of the all-stars in the game" could easily be mistaken for "Assist Trophies are part of the All-Star Mode". Here I have the damage multipliers for each stage in All-Star-Mode for the Wii U, but I'm not sure how to put it into the page, and which formatting to use. Any ideas?

Banjo and Kazooie's separate debut datesEdit

Once Banjo and Kazooie are released, do we have to put in separate Japanese debut dates for the duo? Like Banjo debuted before Kazooie. Juju1995 (talk) 13:21, August 3, 2019 (EDT)

Since they're one entity in Smash, they'll probably both be grouped by the proper release date of Banjo-Kazooie rather than Banjo's debut in Diddy Kong Racing. ~ Serena Strawberry (talk) 13:48, August 3, 2019 (EDT)

Kazuya's debut dateEdit

The Japanese version of the original Tekken was released on Septemper 21, 1994, but Kazuya's debut date is from the worldwide release of the game. What should we do? Juju1995 (talk) 10:11, July 27, 2022 (EDT)

There appears to be two conflicting sources of information. Wikipedia notes Tekken's JP arcade release as September 21, 1994, citing the United States Copyright Office (weird for the Japanese copy of a Japanese arcade game, but whatever), and the international release as December 1994; the Tekken Wiki notes Tekken's JP arcade release as December 9, 1994, and the international release as May 12, 1995. There has to be something hidden in the depths of the internet that's flying under our (and potentially Wikipedia's) radar, because I highly doubt Smash is following information from a fanmade wiki about Tekken instead of Bandai Namco themselves. Tekken's official JP site lists the arcade release as December 1994 and PlayStation release as March 1995 (specifically March 31st). The Wikipedia page for Namco System 11 (the hardware Tekken was developed for) that was released in September 1994 cites GamePro issue 068 page 38 for the 1994 release of Tekken, though it only explicitly mentions Q1 1995 for the PS release, it also says "arcade gamers have already seen Tekken", so in arcades before Q1 1995. Old archives of one of the English Tekken sites and the Japanese site lists a 20th anniversary event for December 2014, 20 years ago would be December 1994.
