Deletion[edit]

This page is about the best Smash player in the Middle Eastern scene. if anything about that scene should be talked about in this website its this guy. How are you supposed to learn about other scenes if you delete them from your website? -Abdallah Abdallah (talk) 16:58, June 17, 2019 (EDT)

I've already answered your question on discord, but since you asked here I'll give you some more explanations.
I'm perfectly fine with adding new information on previously-unknown scenes for SmashWiki. However, effort and notability is needed if you want it to stay here. I previously targeted this as speedy delete because there was not much effort placed onto the tournament, however that is probably because you are a newcomer to the wiki. After that, I tagged it for notability because I don't believe the tournaments you provided necessarily guaranteed notability, unless the three tournaments provided are regional/national tournaments; if it's for the latter's case, I'll be more lenient on the page and most likely remove the tag. For rankings, we mostly use official rankings like the PGR and local rankings over claims like "agreed upon by the community"; I don't know much about Zunon's PR, and I cannot find anything about it, so if you can provide me with a link or image I'll gladly accept that for PR.
One thing to note is that not everyone can have a Smasher page; if that's the case, then I can guarantee that me and many other people could make our own Smasher pages, and that would just create a lot of effortless, empty pages. Notability is already somewhat of a problem on this wiki, so I'm somewhat harsh on this subject; if I come off as "mean", then I don't actually mean it.
